Abstract: The present invention provides a battery including a case and a battery cell accommodated in the case. The case is divided in a thicknesswise direction of the battery cell into an upper case (12) and a lower case (14). The cases have joint portions (1201, 1401) formed along peripheries thereof for jointing with each other. The joint portion of the lower case (14) has a joining thin wall formed to extend along a periphery thereof and project in the thicknesswise direction. The joint portion of the upper case (12) has a joining recess formed to extend along a periphery thereof for receiving the joining thin wall inserted therein. The joining thin wall and the joining recess in which the joining thin wall is inserted are joined together by welding. The upper case (12) has a projecting wall (1002) formed at a location of an outer face thereof positioned on the outer side of the joining recess in such a manner as to extend along the joining recess.

Abstract: The present invention provides a battery including a case, a connector, the holding member, and a resilient conductive plate. In the case, two battery cells each in the form of a flattened rectangular plate are accommodated. The connector is exposed from the case. The holding member is for holding the two battery cells in the case. The holding member is made of a nonconductive resilient material and has a first battery accommodating section and a second battery accommodating section in which the battery cells each in the form of a flattened rectangular plate are accommodated in a juxtaposed relationship so as to form a rectangular shape as viewed in plan. The resilient conductive plate extends on the holding member for electrically connecting the two battery cells accommodated in the first and second battery accommodating sections and the connector to each other.

Abstract: The present invention provides a battery including a case and a battery cell accommodated in the case. Abstract: A battery apparatus and an electronic equipment are provided which permit the use of a plurality of types of battery apparatuses that differ in capacity, and are advantageous in improving ease of use. A case of a battery apparatus has a main body portion and a bottom portion disposed at one side in a thickness direction at the midpoint in a width direction of the main body portion. Portions on both sides in the width direction of the case are formed as flat side surfaces that are parallel to each other and extend in a length direction. A plane on one side in the thickness direction of the case is formed as a flat bottom surface. The dimension from the lower surface of the case (20) to the flat surfaces (2402, 2602) and the dimension from the lower surface (10C) of a case (10) of the first battery device (1) to an upper surface (10B) are the same. Thus, the battery devices are advantageous because the two kinds of batteries with different capacities can be used and usability is enhanced.

Abstract: A battery is prevented from being wrongly inserted into an image pickup device due to reduction of battery sizes. A mechanism for loading/unloading the battery (2) on/from the device (image pickup device (1)) whereupon the battery (2), which is a flat rectangular parallelepiped with a substantially square main plane, is removably mounted. On the both ends in a longitudinal direction on a rear plane opposing a plane inserting into the device, protruding sections (26, 27) are formed along the rear plane. Thus, even the flat rectangular parallelepiped battery (2) having the substantially square main plane can be prevented from being wrongly inserted into the device. The protruding section (27) has an inclined plane (271) inclined at an acute angle to the rear plane, and at the time of taking out the battery (2) from the device, the inclined plane (270) receives contact pressure from a locking means, and ejection of the battery (2) from the device is facilitated. The device is provided with a notched section (122) for exposing the other protruding section (26) when the battery (2) is loaded, and the battery is easily taken out.
