Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce interference among plural tuners (interference of local oscillator onto other tuners), power consumption and spurious radiation by detecting a tuner not in use to turn off a power supply for the tuner not in use. CONSTITUTION:A control output of a microcomputer 2 is connected to a base of an NPN transistor(TR) 4. Then the microcomputer 2 discriminates whether or not a slave pattern is displayed at present and when displayed, the microcomputer sets the control output to an H(high level). Thus, the TR 4 is turned on, a TR 10 is turned on and the power for the slave pattern tuner is turned on. When the slave pattern is not displayed, the microcomputer 2 sets the control output to an L(low level). Thus, the TRs 4, 10 are turned off and the power supply for the slave pattern is turned off. Thus, when no slave pattern is displayed, the power of the slave pattern tuner is turned off.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the consumption of a battery, and in addition, to improve operability by automatically stopping the sending of a remote control signal when a prescribed period of time elapses after the end of the operation of a roller. CONSTITUTION:The roller 1, a rotation detecting means installed in connection with the roller 1, a first detection circuit 3 to generate an output signal to show the rotating direction and the rotating amount of the roller by the detection signal of the rotation detecting means, a detecting switch 2 to detect that the roller 1 is pushed in, and a second detection circuit 4 to generate the output signal corresponding to ON/OFF of the detecting switch 2 are provided. Then, a remote control device is controlled so that it outputs the remote control signal based on the signal from the detection circuits 3, 4 during the operation of the roller 1, and when the operation of the roller 1 is stopped, and the signal from the detection circuits 3, 4 is stopped, the dignal from the first detection circuit 3 is automatically cut off after the lapse of the prescribed period of time, and the sending of the remote control signal is stopped as well. Thus, the consumption of the battery is prevented, and in addition, the operability is improved.

Then the voice memories 5, 6 are used to reproduce repetitively and immediately each received voice signal of a multiplex voice broadcast retrogressing to the past and the output changeover means 7 selects each voice of a multiplex voice broadcast reproduced from the voice memories 5, 6. Thus, the two voice signals such as bilingual broadcast or the like are easily reproduced immediately and two languages are compared and collated easily.

SOLUTION: A pulse signal generated by the rotation of the roller of a roller part 41 is detected by a detecting circuit 43 to generate a signal indicating the rotating direction and rotational quantity; when the roller is pressed, a switch 42 is turned on and a detecting circuit 33 generates and supplies a signal corresponding to the ON operation to a CPU 23. A receiving circuit 21 receives a remote control signal and a decoder 22 generates a control signal, which is supplied to the CPU 23. The CPU 23, a display control circuit 25, and a superimposing device 26 displays a menu screen, cursor information, etc., on the tube surface of a CRT. The movement of a cursor and the input of a controlled variable are performed by operating the roller. With the switch ON, the menu screen is switched and the execution, etc., of a process selected in the menu is instructed.

In such a way, the transmission command signal or the remote control signal in accordance with the transmission command signal can be sent out.

Thus it is possible to prevent malfunctions, runaway, destruction, etc., of a system even if a reception mode is erroneously set by the disturbance in terms or hardware.

A frequency- divided signal is supplied as input on one side out of the count-up or count-down of an up/down counter 64, then, the count-up or the count-down is performed. A count value is outputted, and it is discriminated whether or not it is an initial value. When it is not initial value, a transmission command signal is outputted, and when the count value goes to a value equal to the initial value, the output of the transmission command signal is stopped. A remote control signal is sent out replying to the transmission command signal, and the signal which becomes the input on the other side out of the count-up or count-down of the up/down counter 64 is formed and supplied at every sending of the signal.
