    Abstract: A deflection yoke for use with an in-line cathode ray tube in which a plurality of electron beams are laid, for example, in a horizontal plane, which has a horizontal deflection winding formed in the saddle shape with front and rear bends for producing a pincushion type magnetic field and a vertical deflection winding wound toroidally around a magnetic core to surround the horizontal deflection winding between the front and rear bends for producing a barrel type magnetic field, wherein the vertical deflection winding is shorter than the distance between the front and rear bends of the horizontal deflection winding and is positioned adjacent the front bend and with a predetermined space from the rear bend The use of the deflection yoke with the in-line cathode ray tube can eliminate or simplify a dynamic convergence correcting device.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the cross talk between horizontal deflecting coils and vertical deflecting coils by coupling a pair of auxiliary coils with a positive coupling coefficient and coupling the leakage flux with the vertical deflecting coils. CONSTITUTION:When a core 4 is moved to correct the miss-convergence, the magnetic flux of one auxiliary coil 2 or 3 is increased, and the magnetic flux of the other auxiliary coil 3 or 2 is decreased. Since the coupling coefficient of these auxiliary coils is positive, the sum of each flux phi1+phi2 becomes invariably constant. The auxiliary coils 2, 3 are interlinked with the leakage flux concentrically generated around a beam axis from vertical deflecting coils LV1, LV2. On the contrary, the leakage flux from the auxiliary coils 2, 3 is interlinked with the vertical deflecting coils LV1, LV2, both of them are magnetically coupled, and the coupling direction is the direction to cancel the cross talk. Accordingly, the cross talk can be reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To wind a wire without providing a relay terminal by winding a continuous lead wire on one half-core then winding it on the other half-core in the opposite direction with variable return pitches so that each coil return line is positioned at almost the same place. CONSTITUTION:Coils La, Lb are wound on half-cores 1A, 1B constituting a cylindrical core 1 with a truncated cone shape in opposite directions each other. In this case, a continuous lead wire is wound on the half-core 1A to form the coil La, then it is wound on the half-core 1B without being cut to form the coil Lb. The rotating relationship between the turn table and flyer for the coils La, Lb, and during a return, a small angle return (angle thetaO) and normal return (angle thetaR) are used for the positive direction winding, and a small angle return (angle thetaO), large angle return (angle thetaR+thetaalpha) and further medium angle return (angle thetaR-thetaalpha) are used for the reverse direction winding. Accordingly, a toroidal coil of the deflection york can be obtained without providing a relay terminal.

Parallel directional movement of the board 14 in relation to the main plate 1 is regulated by engagement of the projection part 11 and the hole 15, and the forward and the backward movement can be regulated by the presser part 8 of the member 6.

The amount of copper in coils 2a, 2b can be reduced as much the length of core 1 is shortened resulting in the weight reduction of deflector yoke.
