Abstract: PURPOSE:To reproduce both sides of a disk by inversely moving one pickup fixed to a timing belt stretched over a pulley in a prescribed shape and to prevent laser light from radiating into a disk inserting hole by a light plate. CONSTITUTION:A carriage 50 equipped with the pickup 51 and restrained by the circular timing belt stretched in a U-shape by the inversion pulley 34 is moved in the radial direction of an optical disk. When the carriage 50 approaches the side of the inversion pulley 34, and the timing belt is further moved, the carriage 50 is guided by a guide plate 15, and is moved to the side of an opposite surface of the optical disk, so that the other side of the optical disk is reproduced by the pickup 51. The light shielding plate 19a is fixed to the inversion pulley 34 and is integrally rotated to prevent the laser light emitted from the pickup 51 from radiating through the optical disk inserting hole in a front panel to the outside in the midst of inversion of the carriage 50 guide by the guide plate 15.

A turntable (not indicated in the figure) and a driving motor are installed between two cartridge support plates 4, a positioning pin 5 used to position the cartridge 2 in a mounting position is erected and installed on a chassis 5, and the pin is fitted into a positioning hole 27 made in the cartridge 2. As the opening size of the hole 27, a gap is formed in such a way that the pin 6 is fitted easily.

Then, the tray 22 is retreated to a position in the arm 20. When one slide can lever 30 is moved forward from such a state through a motor 37, the other slide cam lever 31 is moved backward. At the outgoing movement of the lever 30, that means, when the arm 20 is elevated, a lock lever 40 is turned by the back part 30d of the lever 30 by resisting to the pressing force of a tension spring 42 and the upper part of the bobbin 14 of a linear motor 10 is locked by the other end 40b. As the result, the pickup 8 is locked under a state that it is made to approach a turntable 3 side.

Also, by moving the carriage 50 with the belt 40, the turn of pickup 51 is smoothly and surely reversed from the surface A side of an optical disk to the surface B side, or from the surface B side to the surface A side. Meanwhile, the motor 60 is preferable to be mounted near a skew adjusting support shaft provided on the front side of the lower part of chassis 10.
