    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a visible information indication part and to ensure a high contrast ratio by successively laminating an undercoat layer made of an elastomer material and an overcoat layer made of a high-heat resistant material on the visible information indication part. CONSTITUTION:In an optical card 1, an undercoat layer 6 and an overcoat layer 7 are successively laminated as protective films on a visible information indication part 3. The undercoat layer 6 is made of a film of elastomer material, such as urethane. The overcoat layer 7 is made of a film of high heat resistant material, such as ultraviolet curing resin. A thermal head or the like is used for writing/erasing information on the visible information indication part 3 of the information recording indication card 1 constructed as the above. In this manner, the visible information indication part 3 is prevented from being damaged at the information writing/erasing by the thermal head or the like, a contrast ratio is ensured, and a multi-time repeated use can be conducted.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To stably perform the heating and slow cooling of a recording medium and to securely perform erasure with efficiency by providing the heating surface part of a display erasure head with a heating surface which is formed in the shape of the outer peripheral surface of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A high polymer liquid crystal layer is provided in the heat response display part 12 of a card 10 as the card type recording medium and an erasure head 43 has a resistance heating film 45 formed of an Ni-Cr vapor- deposited film of about 0.5 - 1.0mum almost to a half of the periphery of the outer peripheral surface part of a columnar member 44 made of polycarbonate, etc. When the display on the card 10 is erased, the card 10 which is conveyed by a conveyance means approaches the heating part of the erasure head part 43 gradually and is heated to isotropic phase transition temperature and then the card leaves the heating part gradually and is cooled slowly, so that the card is held in a liquid crystal glass phase state. Consequently, erasure on the display part is stably and securely performed with efficiency.

A circular plate 4 is provided concentrically to the exhaust cylinder 3 to the outside of the adsorption board 2. As a result, generation of vibration at a time for rotating the adsorption board is inhibited and coating is uniformly applied on the surface of the base plate at a time of spin coating.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a desired image to be displayed as a positive image with a metallic luster on the back side of a recording layer and with a high quality feeling, by protecting the recording layer on a transparent base with a transparent film, and printing a negative image of a predetermined pattern on the surface of the transparent film. CONSTITUTION:A negative image N of a predetermined pattern is printed on the surface of a protective film 23, consisting of a transparent synthetic resin film, of an optical card 20. Namely, an ink 24 forms, for example, a gray ground (opaque layer) over substantially the entire surface of the protective film 23, leaving uninked parts 24c, 24f in the area of the pattern so that the protective film 23 is exposed in the pattern area surrounded by the gray ground. The negative image pattern N is protected by a hard coat 25 of, for example, a UV-curable resin. The protective film 23 is adhered to a recording layer 12 on a base 11 by a transparent adhesive layer 16. As a result, the surface of the recording layer 12b is partly seen through the transparent adhesive layer 16, protective layer 23 and hard coat 25, in the pattern surrounded by the gray ground of the printing ink 24, and shows a high reflectance. Therefore, the pattern is displayed as a positive image with a metallic luster.
