Abstract: An imide-functional unit of Formula I, a copolymer thereof and their preparation methods, as well as their uses in a thin-film transistor. The imide-functional unit is an effective electron-deficient building block for constructing high-performance polymer semiconductors due to its solubilizing ability, extended π conjugation length, close π-π stacking, and appropriate electron-withdrawing ability and lower-lying FMOs versus the previously reported imide-functional units.
