    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scalable method and a device capable of creating a two-dimensional image from a plurality of cameras. SOLUTION: An image processing system processes in a real time, a plurality of images which are different views from the same object of video data for matching the characteristic in an image in order to support reproduction of a three-dimensional animation. The different images are captured by the plurality of cameras, and processed by a digital processing device to discriminate the characteristic, and preliminary two-view characteristic matching is executed. Image data and matched characteristic point definition are communicated to an adjacent camera in order to support at least two-image matching. Matched characteristic point data are transferred to a central computer, and the central computer performs multi-view correspondence between all the images. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve the following line by retrieving a preceding address by allowing data in a following row of tiles to lee present in a word which is behind a word containing data of a last row and has a word address adjacent thereto. SOLUTION: One position in a memory is selected as a 1st word 408 and data in a 1st row of a 1st tile 402 of its image are stored in the 1st word 408. Further, data in a following row 412 of the 1st tile are stored in a next word 414. This is continued up to a final row 418 of the title. The storage of one row of the tile 402 in the word immediately, after the word storing the precedent row of the tile 402 makes it possible to easily retrieve those rows with a single burst and the bandwidth needed for a decoding process is reduced.
