Abstract: The method involves supplying an information signal that is on the state of the switch (2) or load to a terminal (63) of an interface circuit (6') in time division multiplexing with a control signal. The control signal of the switch is supplied to the terminal during a temporal phase of half-cycles of the alternating signal, where a duration and a position of one of the phase is selected based on the control signal of the switch or the load. The information signal is supplied to the terminal during another phase of each half-cycle of the alternating signal.
