Abstract:
It is proposed a system (32) for testing a device comprising a HDMI transmitter delivering out output signals and being able to operate in a test mode, the system (32) comprising: —an HDMI test unit (34) different from the device to be tested which is able to carry out measurements on the output signals of the device to be tested and has a controller interface (38) controlling the measurements, the controller interface (38) being adapted to be controlled by the device when the device operates in test mode. It is also proposed a method of using the HDMI test unit of such system. The system enables to test a device comprising a HDMI transmitter in a faster way.
Abstract:
Electronic device (101) comprising a power source (110), a power management unit (102) coupled to the power source, and a set of loads (103a,103b, 103c,103d), the power management unit comprising a set of voltage regulators blocks (104a,104b, 104c,104d), each voltage regulator block being respectively coupled to an associated load of the set of loads for allowing power transfer from the power source to the load. The electronic device comprises a spike detector block (106), coupled to each of the voltage regulator blocks, and configured to detect a spike in a voltage signal from a voltage regulator block for testing the presence and the operability of a decoupling capacitor (Ca, Cb, Cc, Cd) between an output of the voltage regulator block and an input of the associated load.
Abstract:
A process for performing an auto-test of a fully discharged battery of an electronic appliance including a battery charger, said process involving the steps of : performing an initialization phase; charging said battery with a predetermined constant current during a predefined period allowing stabilization of said current (Icurrent); detecting the voltage of said battery after said predefined period, said battery being still in charge; testing whether said sensed voltage is comprised within a predetermined range of threshold values (V1, V2), and reporting a battery failure when said sensed value is outside said range. The invention is particularly adapted to the auto-test of a backup battery made of Electric double layer capacitors or any fully discharged backup battery.
