Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a waist belt structure of an automobile door which allows reductions in the amount of weatherstrip presented to the eyes and its thickness. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of upwardly open slots are provided in a channel member 20 secured to a waist belt flange 18. A plurality of downwardly extending legs 50 are provided on the sheet metal part 48 of the core 42 of a belt type weatherstrip 22 and are inserted into the slots and engaged with the channel member 20.
