Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the high temperature oxidation resistance of a natural rubber which is vulnerable to ultraviolet rays, etc., by coating with a specified polymer. SOLUTION: A structure 10 includes a coat 16 which is formed from a polymer expressed by one of the following formulas: formula I (-CH2 -CXY-)*(-CH2 - CHZ), formula II (-CH2 -CH=CJ-CH2 ), formula III (-CH2 -CHK-O-)*(CH2 -CH2 -O-), where X is methyl group or hydrogen atom; Y is carboxylic acid salt, methyl group, etc.; Z is chlorosulfonyl group or hydrogen atom; J is chlorine atom; K is methyl of chloromethyl group. One or more layers of the polymer are applied at least on the exposed surface 14 of a base layer 12 of natural rubber. The structure 10 is ideal as an engine mount and a gasket.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To install, in a continuous curing furnace for a thermosetting molded article by extrusion molding, a UHF treatment section which can be adapted to various factors which govern product qualities. CONSTITUTION: One or plural UHF modules 24 and 26 are installed in a hot air furnace 18 which has, in its inside, a conveyor means 16 to convey an extrusion molded article 14 along the lengthwise direction of the furnace, so that the locations of the modules can be changed by selectively moving along the conveyer means. The curing treatment is performed by selectively applying convection heat and UHF microwave energy to the molded article.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a weather-strip for glass run, which includes two members and can be manufactured with ease. CONSTITUTION: A weather-strip 20 is provided with a frame member 30 and a sealing member 32. The frame member 30 is provided with a reinforcing material 34 and an outer skin 36 and is formed into an overall S-shape in cross section with a first and second U-shaped sections 40 and 42 arranged in reverse direction respectively. The frame member 30 comprising the first U-shaped section 40 is mounted on a vehicle flange 46. The second U-shaped section 42 has holding grooves 52, 54, 56 and 58 on its inner face, and the sealing member having a U-shape in the cross section comprises projections 82, 84, 86 and 88 fitted into the holding grooves on the outer face and is restrictedly held in the frame member 30. The sealing member 32 has fingers 74, 76 and 80 on the inner face for sealing a window plate 14.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To easily increase the width of a weather strip by forming a bent part on the intermediate part of a core base layer to which a sealing lip member to be brought into slide-contact with a glass surface is to be attached, and by straightening the bent part in the width direction at a required part in the longitudinal direction of the core layer part. CONSTITUTION: A weather strip 10 attached to an end flange 12 of doors 18, 20 of a vehicle is provided with a flange part 36, an attaching part 38 of an appearance presentation surface 64, and an elongated core base layer 34 having the intermediate part 40. Moreover, it is provided with an attaching means 43 for attaching the core base layer 34 in relation to the end flange 12, the attaching means 43 is composed of a spring clip having a biting part 44, an approximately U-shaped spring pant 46, and a main leg 48. A sealing lip member 52 having sealing lip parts 54, 56 to be brought into slide-contact with the glass surface is attached to the flange part 36 of the core base layer 34, and a bent part 42 capable of being so straightened as to increase the width of the weather strip 10 is formed on the intermediate part 40.

The crown portion 22 is formed like an umbrella blocking up a gap between the glass 14 and a vehicle body panel 15 adjacent thereto, and a trail piece portion 40 suspended from the middle position of the covering portion 38 is provided adjacent in parallel with the web portion 36 and overlapped on the web portion 36. An outer surface 50 of the crown portion 22 formed to be flush with the outer surface 52 of the glass 14.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make improvements in a property of appearance by concealing a gasket to be installed around an opening of an automobile window or the like, by means of this window at a time when it is situated in an opening part, while forming a window peripheral edge so as to make it locatable to be flush with the opening part. CONSTITUTION: A gasket system 30 to be installed in a window opening of an automobile door is integrally composed of equipping two side pillar parts (lateral ends) 32 and 34, a header part (top end) 36 and a bottom end part 38, respectively. In addition, an elastic bead 20 forming the profile of a window peripheral edge is integrally formed up as well, whereby a sealing action is brought into full play by the contact of respective three panels 14, 18 and 19 with this elastic lead 20. Out of the gasket system like this, for example, the lateral end parts 32 and 34 is composed of covering a metallic reinforcing member 40 with a film 41 made of elastomer material, and it is provided with a first U-shaped groove part 42 being useful for mounting to a flange 46 around an opening part of an automobile 10, and a second U-shaped groove part 48 made capable of receiving a window member 50, respectively.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent generation of a chatter line on the outer layer surface due to vibration of a core member in molding the outer layer by forming the outer layer made of an elastomeric material by extrusion molding on one face of the core member simultaneously with molding of the core member, which is molded of a polymeric material such as hard vinyl chloride by extrusion molding. CONSTITUTION: Using a polymeric material such as hard vinyl chloride, a core member 22 with a C-shaped cross section is molded by extrusion molding. Simultaneously with this molding, an outer layer 24 made of an elastomeric material with medium rigidity is formed on one face of the core member 22 by extrusion molding. Conventionally, a core member is made of metal and the metallic core member is vibrated when it passes through an extrusion die in molding of an outer layer by extrusion molding, so that a chatter line is generated because of this vibration on the surface of the outer layer. However, when the core member is made of a polymeric material and the core member and the outer layer are molded simultaneously by extrusion molding, generation of the chatter line is prevented, and consequently, the outer layer surface can be smoothed.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve the mounting strength and durability of a molding by providing a nip part which nips and holds both front and rear surfaces of a glass pane and has a cross section in the shape of C letter and a crown part which adheres closely to the nip part and blocks a clearance between the glass pane and a panel opposing to it, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A molding 10 is provided so as to block a clearance between, for example, a front glass 14 of an automobile and a car body panel 15. In this case, the molding 10 is formed by an elastic material such as rubber and is provided with a nip part 16 having a cross section in the shape of C letter and a crown part 18, respectively. The nip part 16 is formed into the same shape on both upper and lower faces of the front glass 14 to nip both upper and lower faces 20, 22 of the front glass 14 by both upper and lower leg parts 24, 26. Moreover, the crown part 18 is formed by an umbrellalike part 36 covering the clearance and a tail piece part 30 extending downward from the umbrellalike part 36. Each opposing face 32, 34 of the tail piece part 30 and the nip part 16 adheres closely and mutually.

In this case, the decoration strip 10 is formed by laminating a number of layers. A base 16, a metallized film 18, a transparent upper layer 20, and a transparent coating layer 22 are laminated from the lower side in order. A marking 24 is substantially disposed between the upper layer 20 and the coating layer 22. In manufacturing this decoration strip 10, the upper layer is heat-laminated on aluminum polyester film 18, the marking 24 is provided on an upper surface 26 of the upper layer 20, and after a laminated body of these is laminated on the base 16, the coating layer 22 is laminated on the laminted body.
