    Abstract: A hearing device configured to be worn in an ear of a wearer includes a first housing component defining a recess, a second housing component configured to attach to the first housing component to define an enclosure, and a conductor, and a multi-function cable. The multi-function cable includes a blunt feature and an outer jacket of a multi-function cable. The outer jacket extends through the first housing component. A passage is defined by the blunt feature and the outer jacket, and the conductor extends through the passage. The hearing device further includes a plurality of fibers secured to an inner surface of the passage and an inner surface of the enclosure. The fibers extend through the passage and are configured to transfer mechanical forces from the multi-function cable to the first housing component.

    Abstract: An ear-worn electronic hearing device comprises an enclosure configured to be supported by, at, in or on an ear of the wearer. Electronic circuitry is disposed in the enclosure and comprises a wireless transceiver. An antenna is disposed in or on the enclosure and operably coupled to the wireless transceiver. The antenna has a physical size and comprises a plurality of cutouts disposed along a periphery of the antenna. The cutouts are configured to increase an electrical length of the antenna without an increase in the physical size of the antenna. The antenna can comprise at least one interior window having a window periphery. A plurality of window cutouts are disposed along the window periphery. The window cutouts are configured to increase a path length of current distribution along the window periphery.

    Abstract: An ear-wearable electronic device (100) comprises a shell (102) having a uniquely-shaped outer surface that corresponds uniquely to an ear geometry of a wearer of the device (100). The shell (102) comprises a first contact surface (104). A battery housing (122) comprises a first mounting interface (121) and a battery compartment (126) configured to receive a battery (128). The battery housing (122) has a shape that conforms to that of the battery compartment (126).     Abstract: A hearing instrument may comprise a housing that defines a cavity, wherein the housing includes an inner side that is formed to conform with user anatomy, an outer side that is externally visible when the hearing instrument is placed within an ear of a user. The hearing instrument may further comprise circuitry disposed inside the cavity, wherein the circuitry includes an antenna disposed adjacent an inner surface of the outer side of the housing. A battery door may be attached to the housing, wherein the battery door is positioned such that a battery can be inserted and removed via the battery door, wherein upon insertion of the battery into the hearing instrument, the battery is disposed behind the antenna relative to the outer side of the housing.
