Abstract: One or more processing circuits may obtain sensor data that includes first sensor data generated by a first plurality of sensors of one or more hearing instruments worn by a user and second sensor data generated by a second plurality of sensors of the computing device communicably coupled to the one or more hearing instruments. The one or more processing circuits may generate a notification and may determine, based on at least a portion of the sensor data, a. time period at which the user is available to interact with the notification. The one or more processing circuits may, in response to determining the time period at which the user is available to interact with the notification, output, during the time period, the notification.

Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to embodiments herein relate to hearing assistance systems and methods for monitoring a device wearer's emotional state and status. In an embodiment, a hearing assistance system is included having an ear-worn device that can include a control circuit and a microphone in electronic communication with the control circuit. The ear-worn device can be configured to monitor signals from the microphone, analyze the signals in order to identify speech, and transmit data based on the signals representing the identified speech to a separate device. Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to ear-worn devices that can be used to locate other devices such as mobile electronic devices. In a first aspect, an ear-worn device is included having a control circuit, a microphone in electrical communication with the control circuit, an electroacoustic transducer for generating sound in electrical communication with the control circuit, a motion sensor in electrical communication with the control circuit, and a power supply circuit in electrical communication with the control circuit, wherein the ear-worn device is configured to issue a location command to a mobile electronic device and wherein the location command triggers the mobile electronic device to emit a locating signal. Other embodiments are also included herein.

Abstract: One or more processing circuits may obtain context information associated with a user of one or more hearing instruments, wherein the context information is based on a first set of sensor data generated by a plurality of sensors of the one or more hearing instruments and a second set of sensor data generated by a plurality of sensors of a computing device communicatively coupled to the one or more hearing instruments. The one or more processing circuits may determine, based on at least a portion of the context information, an auditory intent of the user for a given auditory context. The one or more processing circuits may associate the auditory intent with one or more actions, such as actions to adjust one or more settings of the one or more hearing instruments. The one or more processing circuits may invoke the one or more actions associated with the auditory intent.

Abstract: Disclosed herein, among other things, are systems and methods for person-to-person voice communication between ear-wearable devices. A method includes receiving, using a microphone of a first hearing device configured to be worn on or in an ear of the first user, a first acoustic own voice signal from the first user. The method further includes transmitting, from the first hearing device via a wireless connection to a second hearing device configured to be worn on or in an ear of a second user, a first audio packet based on the received first acoustic own voice signal. The method also includes receiving, at the second hearing device via the wireless connection, the first audio packet from the first hearing device, and playing, at the second hearing device using a second receiver, an output signal for the second user based on the first audio packet.
