A four-component flame retardant combination is disclosed: (a) a dialkylalkanolaminoalkylphosphonate; (b) a poly(organophosphate/phosphonate; (c) a polyhalogenated aromatic flame retardant; and (d) alumina trihydrate. It can be used in hydroxy/epoxy-containing prepolymer compositions which are adapted to be reacted with polyisocyanate to form poly(oxazolidone/urethane) materials.

A flame retardant blend having good impact resistance and a high heat deflection temperature comprising (1) a predominant amount of an interpolymer comprising: (a) cross- linked C 2 -C 10 alkyl acrylate or C 4 -C 22 alkyl methacrylate or mixtures thereof; (b) crosslinked styrene-acrylonitrile- and (c) uncrosslinked styrene-acrylonitrile components;
(2) a vinyl chloride homopolymer or vinyl chloride copolymer with a comonomer polymerizable therewith, wherein vinyl chloride is the predominant monomer, (3) a chlorinated vinyl chloride or vinyl chloride copolymer as defined in (2). This blend is particularly useful for use as an outdoor construction material.

The present invention relates to blends of: (1) a vinyl chloride polymer; and (2) a thermoplastic graft copolymer composition comprising (a) a resinous polymer of monoethylenically unsaturated, non-chlorinated, resin-forming material and (b) a rubbery polymer of two different linear alpha-monoolefins, one of which is preferably ethylene and the other of which is a higher alpha-monoolefin having 3 to 16 carbon atoms, and a copolymerizable non-conjugated diene.

An article comprising: (1) an interpolymer which comprises crosslinked (meth)acrylate, crosslinked styrene- acrylonitrile, and uncrosslinked styreneacrylonitrile components; and (2) an adherent metallic coating on said interpolymer. The article is useful as a plated component in motor vehicles, for example, as trim, grille work, wheel covers, and the like, or as plated appliance parts or plumbing components.
