Abstract: An apparatus for displaying an object is provided. The apparatus includes a body portion having a base end for engaging a display surface, such as a wall, and an opposite mounting end for engaging the object to be displayed. The apparatus also includes, at its base end, an attachment mechanism for securely affixing the apparatus to the display surface. The apparatus further includes, at its mounting end, a hub for releasably mounting the object being displayed onto the mounting end of the apparatus. A method of displaying an object is also provided.

Abstract: A framework for providing multi-device collaboration is described herein. In one embodiment, a method for providing multi-device collaboration between first and second devices can include transferring an initializing function call to create a session object. The function call specifies a mode of the session object, a service type, and a service name. The session object can include functions to discover the second device, connect with the second device, and provide data transport between the connected first and second devices. The service name can include a truncated name, a unique identification, and a state of service of a software application associated with the first device. The method can include detecting a network and advertising the service type and the service name via the network. The service type and service name can be advertised prior to establishing the connection between the first and second devices.

Abstract: A belt monitoring system employs a belt having at least one reinforcement member made from a conductive reinforcement material. A belt monitor is disposed in conjunction with the belt. The belt monitor comprises a field inductor excited by an applied signal. An electrical characteristic of at least a portion of the field inductor as influenced by changes in the electrical properties of the conductive reinforcement member is monitored in order to determine a physical condition of the conductive reinforcement member and thereby monitor a physical characteristic of the belt.
