Abstract:
The control circuit for a DC/DC converter (11) has a linear-control loop (12, 14, 15), which receives a quantity to be controlled (V 0 ) and a first reference quantity (V r1 ), and generates a modulation value (DC1). A nonlinear modulation unit (13, 18-21) is activated in presence of a variation of the quantity to be controlled (V 0 ) higher than a preset intervention threshold (Vth1) and modifies in a nonlinear way the reference quantity supplied to the linear-control loop. In the case of large variation and of preset sign of the quantity to be controlled, the linear-control loop is deactivated, a signal for switching-off of the DC/DC converter (11) is initially generated, and then a false steady-state-modulation value (DC2) is supplied to the DC/DC converter.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and an electronic circuit for carrying out a trimming operation on integrated circuit portions (2) which are provided with at least first (D) and second (E) access terminals. The circuit of this invention comprises:
memory elements; a circuit means for modifying, either temporarily or permanently, the state of the memory elements, which means includes:
an error amplifier (4) having an input connected to the second terminal (E) for comparing an output voltage from the circuit portion (2) with an internal voltage reference (Vref), a comparator (5) having an input connected to the output of the error amplifier, a direct connection of the first terminal (D) to the comparator (5) input;
a controlled switch (S2) between the output of the error amplifier (4) and the input of the comparator (5); a second comparator (15) having an input connected to the second terminal (E) and the output connected to control said controlled switch (S2); a control logic (18) for controlling the trimming operation; a serial interface (25) adapted to receive, from said first terminal (D), a data sequence relating to the trimming operation for said control logic (18), through another controlled switch (S1).
Abstract:
An apparatus adapted to convert an input analog signal (In) to an output digital signal (OUT) is described. The apparatus comprises means (1) adapted to convert a first digital value (d(IN1)) of the output signal of the apparatus (100) to a first analog value (IN1), said first digital value (d(IN1)) being emitted by the apparatus at a first time instant, and means for feeding back the first analog value (IN1) to the input of the apparatus. The apparatus (100) comprises first means (2, 3) adapted to determine the difference (Diff) between the first analog value (IN1) and a second analog value (IN) of the input signal of the apparatus at a second time instant successive to the first time instant, second means (4) adapted to convert said difference (Diff) to a digital value (d(Diff)) and third means (5) adapted to add or subtract said digital value (d(Diff)) of said difference to or from said first digital value (d(IN1)) by obtaining said output digital signal (OUT).
