Abstract: The invention relates to a package for ready-prepared foods, which comprises a dish (1) containing packed food that has been cooked in the dish, and a lid heat- sealed to the rim flange (2) of the dish. Upon cooking grease lands onto the rim flange, the detriment of which caused to the sealing has in the invention been prevented by providing the rim flange with elevated ridges (3, 4) so that, upon closing the dish, a gastight sealing line is formed between the lid and the ridges. According to the invention the rim flange has two or more concentric longitudinal ridges (3) circulating the dish and transverse ridges (4), by means of which the space between two longitudinal ridges (3) has been divided into at least five compartments for diminishing the possibility of sealing leakages. In practice there can be considerably more compartments, suitably 10-200. The dish can be made of polymer- coated cardboard, the rim flange of injection-moulded plastics and the lid of polymer-coated paper so that a closure making possible the pulling off of the lid is produced during heat-sealing.

Abstract: La invención se refiere a un empaque para alimentos preparados, que comprende un plato (1) que contiene alimento empacado que ha sido cocinado en el plato, y una tapa termosellada con la ceja del borde (2) del plato. El cocinar, la grasa se deposita sobre la ceja del borde, el detrimento de lo que esto causa en el sellado ha sido evitado por la invención al proporcionar la ceja del borde con aristas elevadas (3, 4) de modo que, al cerrar el plato, se forma una línea de sellado hermética al gas entre la tapa y las aristas. De acuerdo con la invención, la ceja de borde tiene dos o más aristas (3) concéntricas longitudinales que circundan al plato y aristas (4) transversales, por medio de las cuales el espacio entre dos aristas (3) longitudinales se ha dividido en al menos cinco compartimientos para disminuir la posibilidad de escurrimientos en el sellado. En la práctica puede haber considerablemente más compartimientos, adecuadamente de 10-200. El plato puede estar hecho de cartón recubierto con polímero, la ceja del borde de plásticos moldeados por inyección, y la tapa de papel recubierto con polímero, de manera que durante el termosellado se produzca un cierre que haga posible la apertura de la tapa.
