Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for treating cellulose fibres which process comprises the steps of providing a slurry comprising cellulose fibers, adding anionic polyacrylamide (A-PAM) with high molar mass to the slurry in a first step and subjecting the slurry comprising fibers and A-PAM to a mechanical treatment in a second step thereby forming a composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose. The invention further relates to a composition produced according to the process.
Abstract:
A method for drying nanofibrillated polysaccharide to obtain a substantially dry nanofibrillated polysaccharide product, comprising the following steps: (i) providing an aqueous suspension of nanofibrillated polysaccharide; (ii) increasing the solid content of said suspension, thereby forming a high solid content microfibrillated cellulose suspension; and (iii) drying said high solid content microfibrillated cellulose suspension, through a simultaneous heating and mixing operation.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A method of dosing a nanocellulose suspension in gel phase into a second suspension, wherein the method comprises the steps of: providing said nanocellulose suspension in gel phase; providing said second suspension; bringing said nanocellulose suspension in gel phase in contact with said second suspension; wherein the method comprises a step of subjecting said nanocellulose suspension in gel phase to a shear rate of more than 500 1/s, simultaneously with and/or immediately prior to the step of bringing said nanocellulose suspension in gel phase and said second suspension in contact with each other.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a film comprising high amounts of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC), having haptic properties. According to the present invention, a wet web comprising MFC is formed, followed by addition of particles having an average diameter of at least 1 μm to the wet web, followed by dewatering and/or drying. The wet web may be formed for example by wet laid or cast forming methods. The particles may be added to the wet web for example by cast coating or spraying.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a new process for improving runnability and dimensional stability when manufacturing a film comprising high amounts of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) without negatively impacting the film properties. According to the present invention a high amount of nanoparticles or microparticles is used as an additive, optionally together with a polymer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for the production of a coated film comprising microfibrillated cellulose, wherein the method comprises the steps of; providing a first suspension comprising microfibrillated cellulose, applying the first suspension on a substrate to form a fibrous web, wherein the web has a first and a second side, providing a second suspension comprising microfibrillated cellulose, applying the second suspension either to the first side of the fibrous web or to a surface of a drying equipment and conducting said fibrous web through the drying equipment whereby the second suspension is added to the first side of the web forming the coated film. The invention also relates to a film produced according to the method.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a film comprising microfibrillated cellulose wherein the method comprises the steps of; providing a suspension comprising a microfibrillated cellulose, adding an enzyme to the suspension, mixing the enzyme with the suspension to form a mixture, applying said mixture to a substrate to form a fibrous web and drying said web to form said film. The present invention further relates to a film comprising microfibrillated cellulose having good barrier properties.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process wherein microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) is mixed with at least two retention aids, selected from a cationic or amphoteric polymer and a microparticle or nanoparticle as a pre-mix before dosing it to the stock in a process for manufacture of a fiber based product.
