Abstract:
The invention relates to a printing device (1) for simultaneously imprinting both sides of individually discrete substrates (14) or a substrate web (24) with a printable medium. The inventive device consists of an upper and a lower printing group (2, 3) which are arranged at a distance exactly opposite each other. A gap (38) between the printing groups can be adjusted by means of lift adjusting devices (4). The substrates or the substrate web run/s through said gap. The rollers (5, 7, 15, 17) and the cylinders (6, 8, 16, 18) of the upper and lower printing group are fixed on bearing plates (30, 39) by means of flange bearings (29). The bearing plates (30) of the upper printing group (2) are connected to ball and rail guiding devices (33, 34, 35, 36) which can be displaced along rails (31, 32). The lift adjusting devices (4) are therefore provided with drive motors (25). The shafts (47) of said motors are connected to the shafts of spindles (26) by means of sliding sleeves (37). The lower ends of the spindles circulate in thrust bearings (28) which are laterally fixed on the bearing plates (30) of the upper printing group (2).
Abstract:
The appts. to cut across plates, which are elastic and pliable, has retainer (6) parallel to the cutting stretch to hold the plate (14). The cutting blade (21) is secured to slide (11) which travels along the upper side of a cylinder (3) without a piston rod, which is offset to one side below the retainer, and parallel to it. Pref. the retainer (6) is connected to rod (15) near each of its end sides, which are as rack (8) at their lower ends, to mesh with cogwheel (12) on shaft (13). A connection (16) is at one side of one cogwheel, linked to forked head (17) of the piston rod (18) of pneumatic cylinder (7) for the retainer (6). The pneumatic cylinder (7) is parallel to the rods (15) for the retainer (6). The connecting rods (16) have elongated hole (19) with connecting pin (20) passing through, with their ends in snug fit at the side walls of the forks of the fork head (17). ADVANTAGE - The appts. gives an accurate and clean cut to the elastic and pliable plate material, without limit stop for the cutting mechanism.
Abstract:
A laminating machine has two heated rollers with adjustable gap, the one roller being fixed and the other held on a rocker arm. One common chain drive moves both rollers in opposite direction, the rocker arm is in two parts on which one end of each is moved vertically; the two rollers are filled with a liq. heating agent. Specifically the machine has the two rocker arms (2,2'), the chain drive (8) and gear wheels (10,11). The lower roller (3) is in fixed mountings, whilst the other (4) is mounted on the rocker arms (2,2'). The end of each such arm (2,2') has a bearing (6,6') on its axis (7,7'). Each bearing (6,6') is attached to the piston of a pressure cylinder (5,5') so that the arms (2,2') can be moved vertically. The gears system enables the arms and hence the top roller (4) to be moved without affecting the drive (8). If the rollers (3,4) are 600 mm long or more it is best to have a chain drive (8) at each end with the corresponding gear wheels. USE/ADVANTAGE - The gap between rollers can be altered very rapidly and hence the laminating pressure adjusted to suit different thicknesses of material. The machine provides very uniform heat transfer to the rollers along their whole length and circumference.
Abstract:
A device for printing a substrate with a print medium, has print heads which move in a transporting direction of the substrate and in a direction transversely to it. Control units are provided for the print heads the latter being arranged in upper and lower print mechanisms (2,3), where each print mechanism is located in a linear compound table consisting of an X- and a Y- table. A substrate transporting device (6) carries the substrates between the upper and lower print mechanisms in the transporting direction X and the print heads simultaneously print a substrate located in the print zone, with equal covering power, on both sides. An Independent claim is given for a method of printing a substrate with printed image patterns.
