    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an austenitic stainless steel sheet in which the number of processes required for mirror polishing is reduced, particularly, the time required for buffing is reduced and surface gloss of the product can be increased and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: (1) This austenitic stainless steel sheet is the one before pickling after annealing, and in which, by at% as for metallic elements excluding oxygen, the peak value of the concn. of Si in scales formed in the process of annealing satisfies =30 deg.C/s and the heating time at >=1000 deg.C is regulated to 5 to 90sec to produce the above austenitic stainless steel sheet.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To laterally move a thin steel belt without bending it by providing a center dislocation measuring mechanism to measure a center dislocation quantity of the steel belt to the line center and a clamp mechanism to sandwich an upper surface and an under surface of the steel belt, and moving the clamp mechanism in the direction for reducing the dislocation quantity. CONSTITUTION:When the rear end of a preceding steel belt W1 approaches a centering device 20 when the tip of a succeeding steel belt W2 is joined to the rear end of the preceding steel belt W1 by a steel belt welder, speed of a line is reduced, and a lower roller 34 of a clamp mechanism 31 is raised, and the steel belt W1 is clamped between upper and lower rollers 33 and 34. Next, a center dislocation quantity of the rear end center of the preceding steel belt W1 is measured, and a laterally pulling cylinder is controlled in driving according to the value, and a slide frame 45 is laterally moved in the direction for reducing center dislocation. Next, whether or not the rear end of the preceding steel belt W1 slips out of the centering mechanism 20 is investigated, and in the case of NO, centering is again performed, and when it slips out, the lower roller 34 is lowered, and the centering is finished.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent one side extension in an edge parts of a steel strip with a comparatively simple constitution by controlling a heating means based on the temp. signal of a temp. distribution detecting means in the width direction of the steel strip at the front and the rear parts of the heating means for enabling the control of the temp. distribution in the width direction of the steel strip. CONSTITUTION:The heating means 10 for enabling the control of the temp. distribution in the width direction of the steel strip W is added in a cooling zone 5 and controlled with a control means 11. The first and the second steel strip temp. distribution measuring means 21, 22 are arranged at the front part and the rear part of the heating means 10, respectively, and the heating means 10 is controlled based on the temp. signals measured with these positions. The steel strip W is charged upward to a preheating zone 2 and turned over at a top roll 15 and charged downward to a heating zone 3 and heated and uniformized to the temp. distribution in a soaking zone 4, and after naturally cooling in an air-cooling zone 5, the steel strip is made in the horizontal state with a bend floated device 6 and sufficiently cooled in a cooling zone 7. By this method, the temp. distribution in the width direction of the steel strip can be uniformized. A heating device 13 having the same function as the means 10 may be arranged in the bend floated device 6.

Since this constitution consists of the substrate, the intermediate layer excellent in adhesion and the dense surface layer, the substrate is not passivated, and the service life is prolonged because the intermediate and surface layers have electrode catalytic activity.

CONSTITUTION:After a steel sheet 101 is passed through a preheating zone 2, heating zone 6, soaking zone 19 and cooling zone 22 in sequence and is annealed, the oxidized film generated in these processes is removed by a pickling device 26. In the annealing apparatus, plural heating zones 111-116 are placed along a pass line of the steel sheet 101 in the heating zone 6, arranging each heating burner 11 thereto. These heating burners 11 are arranged with each fuel control valve 12, controlling the fuel flow quantity for each heating zone. At this time, the fuel control valve 12 is controlled by a control device 16 so that the fuel flow quantity becomes the preset quantity in response to the passing condition of the steel sheet 101.
