Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for monitoring a mobile computing arrangement.SOLUTION: An arrangement may include a sensor and a processor. The sensor detects first data of an event including a directional orientation and a motion of the arrangement. The processor compares the first data to second data to determine if at least one of predetermined procedures is to be executed or not. The second data may include a predetermined threshold range of changes in the directional orientation and the motion. If the predetermined procedure is to be executed, the processor selects the predetermined procedure which corresponds to the event as a function of the first data. Subsequently, the predetermined procedure is executed.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scan head which can be adjusted at optimally ergonomic scan angles. SOLUTION: The scan head can be rotated depending on a user's favorite mode by adjusting the angle of a scan engine mechanically so that an optimal angle can be given for each use. A cam provides enough work to give the optimal angle on a supporting part. A rotating cam pin is used through a cam path according to a certain height for adjusting a specific angle to the scan engine. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method to allow users to easily operate customized functions, through using mapping structure elements that an end-user at a mobile host device can map each key of a keypad, to predefined characters or functions in a keypad structure (for example, customization is performed for a host unit through an originally application/software defined in advance). SOLUTION: A constructible keypad, which allows users to perform operations for predefined functions that are specified by approach to special characters or by a user's indications merely by touching, is provided. Thereby, performing customized functions, specific to each end-user, is facilitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

Abstract:
The application describes a mobile computing arrangement which incorporates a camera and also comprises a means for detecting camera shake and a processor for performing software control. If the detection means detects camera shake during the taking of a picture, the processor determines whether the amplitude of the motion is within a predetermined threshold when the camera captures the image and applies software compensation if necessary.
Abstract:
A scan head adjustable for optimum ergonomic scan angles. The scan head can be rotated according to a user's preferred mode such that the angle of the scan engine can be mechanically adjusted to give the optimum angle for its use. In support thereof, a cam provides sufficient action to give the optimum angle. A rotating cam pin is utilized through the cam path in accordance with a predetermined height that adjusts to specific angles of the scan engine.
