    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional color image display device embodied by a hand held type or wearable apparatus and a method for displaying the same. SOLUTION: The device for displaying the two-dimensional color image for viewing by the human eyes on a target includes an energizable laser which projects a laser beam toward the target when energized, a scanner which scans the laser beam along a plurality of optical paths over the target, and a controller which is connected operatively to the laser in the selected position of the laser beam in at least one among the prescribed optical paths in order to generate individual light pixels at a refresh speed to sustain the pixels so as to enable the eyes to surely see the image consisting of the light patterns of the pixels on the target in the selected position and is operated to energize the same.
