Abstract:
This invention relates to an improved method for forming a grafted rubbery particle suitable for use as a reinforcing rubber in a thermoplastic resin. The grafted rubbery particles produced by the method of the present invention have a substantially continuous, generally uniform layer of polymer grafted to the rubbery particle core.
Abstract:
An impact resistant polymeric composition and a process for its production. The composition comprising a rigid polymeric matrix having disposed therein two grafted rubbery copolymers said grafted rubbery copolymers having different specifically defined degrees of grafting.
Abstract:
A rubber-reinforced, impact resistant polymeric polyblend composition having enhanced melt flow rate and excellent environmental stress crack resistance on exposure to trichlorofluoromethane. These desirable physical properties being a result of employing rubber-reinforcing particles which are lightly-grafted, that is, having a graft to rubber ratio of from 0.1:1 to 0.3:1.
