    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a titration control method in which a titration reagent is dropped always at proper intervals and in which a titration time is shortened by a method wherein the magnitude of a waiting time required for a detection by a sensor is controlled according to the magnitude of a change in the chemical quantity or the physical quantity of a solution to be inspected. SOLUTION: A pH electrode 3 as a sensor and a reference electrode 4 are inserted into a container 2 in which a solution L, to be inspected, at an automatic titration apparatus 1 is housed, and the respective electrodes 3, 4 are connected to an apparatus body 7 by respective lead wires 5, 6. Then, a titration reagent A is dropped, by every small amount, into the solution L, to be inspected, from a syringe 10, and a change in the chemical quantity or the physical quantity of the solution L to be inspected is measured by the sensor. At this time, according to the magnitude of the change in the chemical quantity or the physical quantity of the solution L, to be inspected, after a prescribed waiting time has elapsed since the titration reagent A is dropped, the magnitude of a waiting time required for a detection by the sensor after the titration reagent A is dropped next is controlled. Thereby, even when the change becomes large near the end point of a titrating operation, the end point can be detected surely, and the titrating operation can be performed with high accuracy.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simply and correctly calibrate a pH measuring apparatus with a standard solution which has not been stored in an apparatus memory. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 19 is used to input a pH-temperature characteristic table of desired standard solution into a microprocessor 15 and this is stored in a RAM 18. Then the standard solution is injected into an appropriate vessel such as a beaker, temperature of the standard solution is measured by an appropriate temperature sensing means, the temperature is converted into a digital signal to be supplied to the microprocessor 15, a pH value of the standard solution corresponding to the measured temperature is taken out from the RAM 18 into the microprocessor 15, and the pH value is used to automatically calibrate a pH measuring apparatus to calculate asymmetry potential, slope, etc. Thus standard solution calibration is always performed correctly even if there is change in temperature.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device with memory for automatically recognizing such information as the type and manufacturing number of an electrode without any need for setting a calibration or correction value each time when the electrode is replaced using a device body and for freely using the electrode for each application. SOLUTION: A measuring device 1 is provided with a device body 20 and a measurement electrode 10. An identification means for identifying the measurement electrode 10 is provided in the measurement electrode 10 or in a cable or a connector for connecting the measurement electrode 10 to the device body 20, and a storage means 21 for recognizing the identification means of the measurement electrode 10 and storing information regarding the measurement electrode 10 is provided in the device body 20.
