Abstract: A mouse pad (the sheet placed under a mouse during VDT operation) comprises a fibrous sheet made of ultrafine fibres, and a substrate. Such a mouse pad may be incorporated in a mouse pad package so that a part of the surface of the mouse pad provided by the fibrous sheet or a separate piece made of substantially the same material is exposed so that a consumer can touch it directly to confirm its touch and test its likely behaviour as a mouse pad.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an absorbed amount per unit volume by preventing activated carbon from dropping in spite of an air filter being inexpensively produced by using powdery activated carbon. SOLUTION: An activated carbon-containing paper having 190 g/m2 weight, 0.38 g/cm3 packing density and 0.5 mm paper thickness is manufactured by 50 wt.% of powdery activated carbon having 0.3-1.3 cm3/g pore volume, 1.0 cm3/g average pore volume and 0.1-100 μm particle diameters and 5 μm average particle diameter, 40 wt.% of pulp and 10 wt.% of a polyacrylonitrile fiber as a thermally fusible fiber.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouse pad superior in cleaning effect on a track ball and a roller without the sense of incongruity even in continuous use for long time by adhering a textile obtained by weaving multi filament yarn composed of extra fine fibers on a base material and making the surface of the textile a mouse operation face. SOLUTION: The textile where multi filament yarn composed of the extra fine fibers of 0.00001-1 denier is woven is adhered on the rubber sheet (base material), and the surface of the textile is composed as the mouse operation face. It is suitable that the thickness of the textile which is adhered on the rubber sheet and which is composed of extra fine fiber multi filament yarn is 0.4-1mm. Thus, dirt can gradually be removed in the mouse where the dirt of dust is adhered and it becomes an obstacle for work by means of a wiping characteristic that the extra fine fibers have. Then, VDT work can smoothly be executed and superior cleaning effect on the track ball and the roller can be obtained without the sense of incongruity even if it is continuously used for a long time.
