Abstract: An electrophotographic apparatus of this invention includes a stacking section for cut sheet; a stacking section for fanfold paper; a feed section for supplying printing paper which is cut sheet or fanfold paper from one of the stacking sections via one of different supplying paths; an exposure unit for forming an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive drum; a developing unit for developing the latent image into a toner image; a belt conveyer for conveying the printing paper received from the feed section along a common feeding path, a transferring unit for the toner image of the photosensitive drum onto the printing paper; a fixing unit for fixing the transferred toner image on the printing paper; an ejecting section for receiving the printed printing paper from the belt conveyer; and a cutting device for cutting apart the printed fanfold paper at the perforation line thereof. The fanfold paper left behind on the common feeding path after the cutting operation is set back to a position which does not obstruct supply of cut paper in the feed section.

The fanfold paper left behind on the common feeding path after the cutting operation is set back to a position which does not obstruct supply of cut paper in the feed section (6).

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent generating a recording medium jam by closing a recording paper conveying path by the first printer when printed one surface, opening the conveying path by the first/second printers when printed both surfaces, and further providing a gate of inverting an obverse/reverse of recording paper conveyed from the first printer when printed both surfaces. CONSTITUTION: The first/second printers A, B having print means 1A, 1B and paper feed means 2A, 2B are provided and connected by a recording paper conveying path C. A gate 13, closing the recording paper conveying path C when printed one surface by using only the first printer A but opening the conveying path when printed both surfaces by using the first/second printers A, B and inverting an obverse/reverse of recording paper conveyed when printed both surfaces, is provided on the recording paper conveying path C. In a device thus formed, by selectively performing printing in one and both surfaces of the recording paper, generation of a recording paper jam is almost eliminated. In this way, staining the recording paper can be prevented.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to a global environmental protection by cutting near a binding part to prevent a mixture of a binding thread of a book in the case of forming a slurry for again papermaking the book recovered for recycling, distinctly separating, and effectively utilizing resources of the part, reducing a labor hour and its cost. SOLUTION: The book is bookbound adapted to its recycling by using threads of water soluble fiber having an extremely high strength for binding threads or threads of extremely ultrafine fiber (or its generated fiber) to be pulped by cutting and beating can be released from fusion bonding in a recycling step of paper, and bound by a method for binding so that the many binding yarns are externally appeared, and sequentially fusion bonded by hot pressing. As a result, the book can be bookbound adapted to the recycling by using fibers to be bookbinding.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable automatic dialing communication at a position apart from a telephone set by providing a reader section reading a telephone number described by an optical identification mark, a receiver and a transmitter to a mobile station. CONSTITUTION:A touch type reader 5 or a pen type reader 6 in a mobile station 4 reads a telephone number described by an optical identification mark and the read telephone number data are transmitted from the mobile station 4 to a base station 3 via a reception transmission section by radio communication. The base station 3 converts the read telephone number data into a dial signal and transmits the signal to a telephone line 30 via a line interface section. The data inputted from the mobile station 4 are converted into an optical identification mark and printed out by a printer of the of the base station 3 by pressing a printing switch 10 provided to the mobile station 4. That is, the telephone number of the destination is converted into an optical identification mark and printed out by making a phone call once to the destination from the mobile station 4.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To save a trouble for removing continuous paper from a feed path at every printing mode change-over by a method wherein when a continuous printing mode is changed over to a cut sheet printing mode, continuous paper is fed back to a predetermined position to be retracted for forming a cut sheet feed path. CONSTITUTION:A common feed path for feeding a cut sheet 2 and continuous paper 8 is provided. One of said paper is selectively fed into the feed path. When the continuous paper 8 fed into said feed path is retracted at a predetermined position in a printer in which while paper subjected to an image forming is discharged from the feed path, the other paper is retracted at the predetermined position, the continuous paper 8 is cut after an image is formed thereon, and the leading end of the continuous paper 8 remaining in the feed path is returned to the predetermined position on the upstream side of an image forming position P in the feed path so as not to interfere with the feed of the cut sheet 2.
