Abstract: A multilayered film which is excellent in quality and processability and can be safely and stably produced. The film is characterized in that it comprise s a substrate and, formed thereon, a polymer resin layer and a vapor-deposited film of a metal and/or a metal oxide and that at least 80 wt.% of the polyme r resin layer is accounted for by a polymer of an unsaturated compound having at least two ethylene bonds and/or acetylene bonds per molecule and having neither an acrylic nor methacrylic group. The film having a vapor-deposited metal coating is usable as a packaging film having gas-barrier properties, a film for capacitors, etc.

Abstract: A metallized film suitable for a capacitor comprises a polymer base film and a vapor-deposited layer consisting essentially of Al and Zn, which is formed on the polymer base film. The multilayer film according to the present invention can be used for a metallized packaging film having gas barrier properties or a metallized film for a capacitor and the like.

Abstract: A fabric having an excellent color developing property and having recesses of a depth of 0.05 to 1 mu m and a width of 0.05 to 1 mu m formed at least on the surface of the fibers existing in the surface portion of the fabric, the number of recesses being 1 to 10 per mu m on the periphery of the fibers existing in the surface portion of the fabric in a portion of the fiber cross-section at which the recesses are formed at least the recesses formed on the surface of the fibers existing in the surface portion of the fabric being coated with a coating material of an organic polymer having a refractive index at least 0.03 lower than the refractive index of the fibers. The fabric has a high depth of color and an excellent abrasion resistance.

Abstract: In plasma-treating the inner surface of a plastic tube, the invention provides a treating method which ensures stable treatment under readily operative conditions. The present invention relates to a method comprising the steps of placing a plastic tube inside an electrically insulating tube wherein the difference between the inner diameter of the insulating tube and the outer diameter of the plastic tube is less than 2 mm, letting a gas into the plastic tube, keeping the inner pressures of both tubes at a reduced pressure, applying a high voltage across electrodes disposed outside the electrically insulating tube to initiate and sustain discharge inside the plastic tube and thus plasma-treating the inner surface of the plastic tube.
