    Abstract: PURPOSE:To disperse uniformly an org. pigment into varnish by dispersing the org. pigment into a solvent of a polyimide precursor by bringing arom. tetracarboxyic anhydride and arom. diamine or arom. diamine and diamine having a siloxane structure into reaction in the liquid. CONSTITUTION:N-methyl 2-pyrolidone or the like is used as an example of a polar solvent. The polyimide precursor is obtd. by bringing arom. tetracarboxylic anhydride and arom. diamine into reaction. The concn. of the polyimide precursor in the heat resistant coloring paste is usually 8-30% and is obtd. by adding arom. diamine into a solvent under stirring and adding arom. tetracarboxylic anhydride after dissolution to cause the reaction thereof. The reaction temp. for making the polyimide precursor soln. is 0-80 deg.C and the weight ratio of the org. pigment/polyimide precursor is made generally 10/90-75/25.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a color filter having superior durability, reliability and high light transmittance by successively forming polyimide films each contg. an org. pigment and an uncolored polyimide film on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A polyimide soln. contg. fine particles of a heat resistant org. pigment which is not decomposed or discolored during heating is applied to a substrate of transparent glass or the like, and heat treatment is successively carried out at 80 deg.C, 150 deg.C and 300 deg.C for about 30min each to form a colored polyimide film. This colored polyimide film is coated with a negative type resist film, exposed, developed, after-baked and patterned by etching. After the resist film is stripped off, other color patterns are similarly formed to obtain patterns having the three primary colors, red, yellow and blue. An uncolored polyimide film is then formed on the whole surface of the substrate having the patterns. Thus, a color filter having high light transmittance and superior durability is obtd.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain varnish of sufficient conductivity and high stability, by incorporating a solution of polyimide-based polymer precursor with amino group- contg. compound and metallic powder. CONSTITUTION:The objective varnish can be obtained by incorporating (A) a solution of polymer constituted mainly by structural unit of formula (R1 is tri- or tetravalent organic group having at least two carbon atoms; R2 is divalent organic group having at least two carbon atoms; n=1 or 2) with (B) a 1-15C compound carrying amino group and (C) metallic powder. The amounts to be incorporated for both components (B) and (C) are as follow: component (B) 0.5- 2 times equivalent (pref. 2/3-1.5 times equivalent) the whole carboxyl group in said polymer, component (C) 150-1,900 (pref. 250-1,000)g per 100g of said polymer.
