Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a knitting flow detector readily change knitted stitch pitch and surely discover knitting flaws by diverging a position of a conjugated face of a lens of a line sensor camera to monitor knitting stitches of illuminated knit fagric to be detected from the face of knit fabric and setting a ragne on the knit fabric to expect a picture element larger than the knitted stitch pitch. CONSTITUTION:In monitoring knitted stithes of knit fabric 13 to be detected fro detection illuminated by a light source 21 of a lighting device by a line sensor camera 3 and detecting a knitting flaw 12, a conjugated face of a lens 32 of the line sensor camera 3 is set a position diverged from the face of the knit fabric 13 to be detected and a range on the knit fabric to expect a picture element 1 is made >= one knitted stitch pitch of the knit fabric 13 to be detected to readily specify position of the knitting flaw 12.
