    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pelletizing devices for a batch type polymerization process which can reduce the equipment cost by improving the working efficiency and also reduce the operation cost by the automation when a plurality of batch type polymerizers are installed. SOLUTION: A plurality of batch type polymerizers 1 are arranged in a row, and pelletizing devices 2 of number less than the number of polymerizers 1 are so disposed as to move to the polymerizers 1 through a truck 3 in the case the polymerization reaction is completed. Respective feed couplers 51a, 52a and 53a for carrying out the operation are disposed in the vicinity of respective polymerizers 1, and receiving couplers 51b, 52b and 53b corresponding to the feed couplers 51a, 52a and 53a are provided on the side of the pelletizing devices 2, and the feed couplers 51a, 52a and 53a and the receiving couples 51b, 52b and 53b are fitted and removed in the state of facing one another when the pelletizing devices 2 are stopped on the positions of respective polymerizers 1.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for stopping a truck at a fixed position capable of adding the fixed position just by adding a detection plate without adding a detection sensor on a truck side in the device for selectively moving and stopping one truck at the plural fixed positions. SOLUTION: In this device for respectively installing the detection plates 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d to the plural fixed positions 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d and selectively moving and stopping the truck 2 provided with the detection sensors 4, 5, 6 and 7 for recognizing a position through the detection plates at one of the fixed positions 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d, the plural detection sensors 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the truck 2 are arranged in a vertical direction and detection points detectable to the detection sensors 4, 5, 6 and 7 are pattern-arrayed in plural sections for which the position recognition parts 25a, 25b, 25c and 25d of the detection plates 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d are divided by plural columns in a horizontal direction and the plural columns in the vertical direction at least equivalent to the number of the detection sensors 4, 5, 6 and 7.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly grasp the abnormal flow of strands with a very simple means by a method wherein a means, which stops the discharge of the strands when the abnormality of temperature is judged by a temperature abnormality judging means for the temperature detected with a temperature detecting means provided near a strand guiding device, is equipped. SOLUTION: A strand guiding device 6, which movingly guides strands 5 discharged from a die head 3 while cooling them down, is provided. The guide device 6 connects a first chute plate 7 to a strand guide groove plate 9. Further, a cutting device 10 for cutting the strands 5 into the shape of chips is equipped ahead the strand guide groove plate 9. In this case, just before the cutting device 10 and near the top surface of the strand guide groove plate 9, a temperature detecting means 11 is provided. Then, an output signal 16 concerning a detected temperature is sent to a control unit 12. In this case, in which the detected temperature becomes higher than the temperature at a steady running, the abnormality of the detected temperature is judged and a signal 17 for stopping the discharge of strands is sent to a strand forming device 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To decide discharge completion accurately and to contrive to reduce labor, by stopping an agitating element at a fixed position, making a temperature reduction pattern at a temperature detecting part into a definite pattern, detecting liquid level of polymer at each batch accurately and making it possible to judge a point of discharge completion by discharging rate. CONSTITUTION:In a bath polymerization method wherein an inert gas is fed to a polymerization vessel 2 under pressure and a polymer G is discharged from an outlet 9, a position detector to find rotary position of an agitating element 3 is set in order to stop an agitating element 3 rotated in the polymerizing vessel 2 at a fixed position after polymerization reaction in each batch and a temperature detecting part 4 to find temperature in the vessel is laid in the vicinity of the bottom of the polymerization vessel. A control device 6 which detects the instant of passage of liquid level L of the polymer through the temperature detecting part 4 by amplifying very small change in signal from the temperature detecting part 4 based on temperature difference between temperature of the polymer and temperature of gaseous phase in the vessel, judges point of discharge completion from relationship between residue of the polymer in the polymerization vessel based on the detection and discharging rate based on the actually detected value and sends discharge completion signal is arranged.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To feed a slurry comprising terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol at a given molar ratio to batch wise esterification reactors, by keeping the material feed constant with a signal from a level gauge provided in a slurry tank. CONSTITUTION:A slurry comprising terephthalic acid (TPA) and ethylene glycol (EG) is fed to the batchwise esterification reactors 30-33 while controlling the slurry production and molar ratio by means of the terephthalic acid weight controller 12, the ethylene glycol flow controller 13, and the arithmetic unit 14 of molar ratio drivingly connected to the signal from the level gauge in the slurry tank 7. The set point of molar ratio of EG to TPA is preferably 0.8-2.0:1. EFFECT:Constant high degree of accuracy, e.g. + or -0.02 of the setpoint. Low equipment cost due to small sized slurry tanks and agitators. Monitoring is unnecessary because of controllability even with change in slurry amounts.
