Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium oxide particle-containing polyamide resin composition containing a small amount of coarse particles in a polyamide and suitable as a raw material for fibers produced with a low filtration pressure rise during spinning. SOLUTION: This polyamide resin composition is obtained by dispersing 0.16 g of titanium oxide particles in 10 mL of ethylene glycol, then regulating the titanium oxide particles to number of particles in measurement of the particles having >=5 μm particle size using a Thoma's erythrocytometer and adding the titanium oxide particles, preferably an aqueous slurry of the particles in a polymerization process of the polyamide or preferably kneading the particles with a molten polyamide and including the particles in the polyamide.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired amount of end groups by adding a regulator to regulate the amount of end groups to a polyamide resin after polymerization and to provide a means for obtaining a polyamide resin which has good workability during melt processing and good quality. SOLUTION: This preparation method of a polyamide resin comprises a polymerization step in which a raw material for polymerization is polymerized to obtain a polyamide resin; a step of adding a regulator to regulate the amount of end groups to the polyamide resin obtained in the polymerization step and melt blending the same; and a step of removing unreacted regulator to regulate the amount of end groups and its derivative in the polyamide resin obtained in the step of melt blending such that the amount of the unreacted regulator to regulate the amount of end groups and its derivative is 10 ppm or lower based on the polyamide resin.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which can be desirably used as a material capable of forming fibers without encountering frequent yarn break and increased filter pressure by mixing a polyamide as a base with titanium oxide particles classified so that the content of particles having a specified or smaller particle diameter may have a specified or larger value. SOLUTION: A polyamide resin as a base is mixed with titanium oxide particles classified so that the content of particles with a particle diameter of 1 μm or below may be 96 wt.% or above. The method for mixing is desirably one comprising adding a water slurry containing 5-50 wt.% classified titanium oxide particles to the polymerization system during the production of the polyamide or one comprising melt-kneading a classified powdery titanium oxide and a polyamide with a twin-screw extruder. Desirably, the classification of titanium oxide particles is performed by converting titanium oxide as a raw material into a water slurry and subjecting the slurry to gravitational classification (e.g. water elutriation). The titanium oxide used is desirably anatase titanium oxide. The amount of the titanium oxide used is desirably 0.01-60 wt.% based on the polyamide.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium oxide-containing polyamide of which the dispersibility is excellent and the increase of a filtration pressure in molding is low. SOLUTION: The polyamide has a particle with the diameter of 5 μm or more of 2% or less with respect to the all particle number of titanium oxide with the diameter of 1 μm or more which is observed under a microscope after melt-rolling of the polyamide of 0.1 g on a glass plate. The producing method comprises continuously mixing the titanium oxide by heating and melting so that the melt viscosity of polyamide may be 350 Pa.S or less. The fibre prepared by using the polyamide is also provided.
