    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a cycloolefin in high yield, by partially hydrogenating an aromatic hydrocarbon in the presence of water, a hydrogenating catalyst, and an additive consisting of a phosphate compound of Cu, Co and Ni and cobalt sulfate and a compound of GroupIa or ammonium compound. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic hydrocarbon is partially hydrogenated with H2 gas in the presence of water, a hydrogenating catalyst consisting essentially of Ru and one or more selected from a phosphate compound of Cu, Co and Ni and cobalt sulfate and one or more selected from a compound of GroupIa and an ammonium compound as an additive at 50-200 deg.C and 1-200kg/cm to give a cycloolefin. The catalyst may contain a co-catalyst in an amount of 0.01- 0.5 of that of Ru in addition to Ru, and the amount of the additive to be used is 0.1-50 times of that of the catalyst. USE:A raw material for polyamide and lysine.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the selectivity of a cycloolefin useful as a raw material for polyamides, etc. in partially hydrogenating an aromatic hydrocarbon with hydrogen in the presence of water, a ruthenium hydrogenating catalyst and an additive, by using cobalt sulfate as the additive. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic hydrocarbon, e.g. benzene, toluene, xylene or a lower alkylbenzene, is partially hydrogenated with hydrogen in the presence of water, a ruthenium hydrogenating catalyst containing ruthenium essentially and cobalt sulfate, preferably at 50-200 deg.C 1-200kg/cm to give a cycloolefin by a simple operation in high yilled. The amounts of the water, hydrogenating catalyst and cobalt sulfate are preferably as follows: water in an amount of 0.1-5 times that of the hydrocarbon, 0.1-10wt% hydrogenating catalyst, and 0.001-30 times cobalt sulfate basing on the amount of the hydrogenating catalyst. The hydrogenating catalyst is preferably supported on a carrier, and a co- catalyst, e.g. copper or silver, may be contained therein.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To recover high-purity benzene in a simple and ready operation, from a mixture containing benzene, cyclohexene, etc., with active carbon as an adsorbent effective for the selective adsorption of the benzene and with a specific desorbing agent for its expulsion. CONSTITUTION:Active carbon as an adsorbent freed of water in advance of use, is mixed with a liquid phase mixture containing benzene, cyclohexene and cyclohexane, and a desorbing agent containing a 7-10C alkylbenzene having 1-3 alkyl substituent groups, e.g. toluene or ethylbenzene, as a chief component, at a room temperature to 200 deg.C and an atmospheric pressure to 30kg/cm , and the selectively adsorbed benzene is driven out, to separate and recover high-purity benzene. The desorbing agent itself adsorbed by the expulsion of the benzene, is driven out in an adsorbing operation and can be circulated continuously for reuse as a desorbing agent. USE:A raw material for products and synthesis of cyclohexene, etc.

A nobel metal of Group VIII in the periodic table, particularly palladium or platinum, may be preferred as the dehydrogenating catalyst.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:High-purity cyclohexene is isolated inexpensively by simple operations from benzene containing cyclohexene by selective adsorption on an adsorbent of X-type alminosilicate zeolite. CONSTITUTION:A mixture containing cycloexene, cyclohexane and benzene is brought into contact with an X-type aluminosilicate zeolite of the formula Mn/2O Al2O3.xSiO2yH2O (M is metal, n is valency of M, x is 2-3, y is the content of crystal water) which is previously dewatered by heating at 200-600 deg.C, at 0-50 deg.C to remove bezene by adsorption. Then the mixture of cyclohexane and cyclohexene is treated with another X-type aluminosilicate zeolite to remove cyclohexene by adsorption. The benzene and cyclohexene adsorbed on above zeolites are liberated by heating and recovered respectively.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a brush fixing dry type toner stable in electrostatic chargeability characteristics by mixing an oil-soluble azo dye contg. a Cr complex compd. and carbon black with a higher fatty acid. CONSTITUTION:An oil-soluble azo dye containing a complex compound of chromium as a charge controller, and a higher fatty acid amide as a dispersant, and carbon black as a pigment are mixed by using a hammer mill in a dye- amide ratio of 10:1-1:10. These mixture or kneaded product is added into a molten epoxy resin and well kneaded, and cooled to room temp. to solidify. The obtained solid mass is roughly crushed and then finely pulverized to obtain a toner having an average particle diameter of 3-30mum.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To isolate the titled compound efficiently in one step by the adsorption treatment of a mixture of benzene, cyclohexene and cyclohexane with an adsorbing agent comprising an X type aluminosilicate zeolite ion-exchanged with Ag ions. CONSTITUTION:Cyclohexene is isolated from a mixture containing benzene, cyclohexene and cyclohexane as main components using an X type aluminosilicate zeolite as an adsorbent. By use of the X type aluminosilicate zeolite ion-exchanged with Ag-ions, the cyclohexene is selectively adsorbed first. When a desoption agent composed mainly of alkylbenzene having total carbon number of 7-8 is used, the cyclohexene can be more efficiently isolated.
