    Abstract: Title process is effected in a polymerisation column characterised in that, during the condensation polymerisation stage, polymer streams of the central part of the cross-section of the polymerisation column are exchanged against polymer streams of the peripheral part of the column, and the so-exchanged polymer streams are melted one into another in form of the desired polymer before issuing from the polymerisation column. suitable apparatus is provided with means for the exchange of the polymer streams inside the column against streams in the peripheral zone of the column, and also with means for the melting together of the exchanged polymer streams.
