Date Mar. 13, 1986.The device according to the present invention comprises a unidirectionally circulating endless filter cloth with a napped filter layer on the surface, a solid-liquid mixture supply device installed on the front side of filter cloth, a depressurizing suction device installed on the backside of the filter cloth, a non-filterable content withdrawing device installed downstream of the solid-liquid mixture supply device and the depressurizing suction device, and a filter cloth wash device installed downstream of the non-filterable content withdrawing device in the running direction of the filter cloth and located between the non-filterable content withdrawing device and the solid-liquid mixture supply device or the depressurizing suction device. The depressurizing suction device is equipped with a depressurized suction port splaying in the running direction of said filter cloth. The depressurized suction port is equipped with at least one group of filter cloth guide rolls on the right and left sides in the running direction of filter cloth. The filter cloth guide rolls which constitute the right of left group spread outwardly in the running direction of filter cloth. The present device can minimize damage to the filter cloth by the depressurizing suction device without decreasing the solid-liquid separation performance and thus drastically prolong the service life of the filter cloth.

A first sprayer is arranged in a facing relation to the outer peripheral surface of the filter cloth, for flushing a collecting liquid to collect the solids arrested by the filter cloth, and a collecting hopper is arranged inside the drum, for collecting the solids washed off by the collecting liquid. A second sprayer is arranged in a facing relation to the inner peripheral surface of the filter cloth, for flushing a washing liquid to wash off the solids attached to the fibers of the napped filter layer. Further, a third sprayer is arranged outside the drum for washing the filter cloth with chemicals, and a baffle plate is arranged inside the filtration drum.

Abstract: A solid-liquid separating apparatus has: an endless filter cloth which is provided such as to be able to travel and turn in one direction and has a flocked filter layer on the surface thereof; a solid-liquid supply means provided on the face side of the filter cloth; a vacuum, suction means provided on the back side of the filter cloth such as to oppose the solid-liquid supply means; a non-filtered component collecting means provided on the downstream side of the solid-liquid supply means and the vacuum suction means with respect to the direction of travel of the filter cloth; and a filter cloth washing means provided on the downstream side of the non-filtered component collecting means with respect to the direction of travel of the filter cloth and between the non-filtered component collecting means and the solid-liquid supply means on one hand and the vacuum suction means on the other. The vacuum suction means has a vacuum suction port which opposes the back side of the filter cloth and diverges toward the traveling direction of the filter cloth. The vacuum suction port has, at least one filter cloth guide roll group on each of the right and left sides with respect to the direction of travel of the filter cloth. Each of the filter cloth guide rolls constituting each of the filter cloth guide roll groups on the right and left sides is directed toward the outside in the direction of travel of the filter cloth. The solid-liquid separating apparatus makes it possible to minimize the damage to the filter cloth by the vacuum suction means without reducing the solid-liquid separating performance and throughput capacity, so that it is possible to greatly increase the life of the filter cloth.
