Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a water purifier capable of discharging a large amt. of water and equipped with a small-sized passage changeover mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The main body 1 connected to a cock and a filter part 2 are integrally connected and the main body 1 is equipped with the first and second water passing holes 14a, 14b provided to the upper wall 8a partitioning a raw water inlet 4 and a valve chamber in which a passage changeover valve 20 is inserted, the shower drain holes 15a, 15b provided to a lower wall 8b, a raw water drain hole 16 and the water sending port 11 provided to a side end surface. The passage changeover valve 20 is equipped with the first water passage 21 formed by shaving off the circumferential surface of a valve steam 20a in a U-shape, the second water passage piercing the valve steam 20a and the water passage for the filter part piercing the valve stem from an upper surface toward the water sending port 11 and has first, second and third sealing members arranged to the peripheral surface region of the first water passage 21, the region opposed to the second water passing hole and the water inlet part of the water passage for the filter part.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a main body and cartridge for a water purifier reduced in the number of constituent parts and taking no labor in replacing work and a cock direct connection type water purifier 10 constituted of them and realizing the conservation of space and the reduction of cost. CONSTITUTION:A main body 11 for a water purifier is equipped with a body 18 and the passage changeover valve 19 built in the body 18 and a bayonet mechanism for connecting a cartridge 12 is provided to the raw water take-out port of the body. The cartridge 12 is constituted by directly charging U-shape hollow yarn bundles 28 and an activated carbon bed 29 in a container 26 and the bayonet mechanism for connecting the main body 11 is provided to the raw water receiving port 24 of the container. The main body and the cartridge are integrally formed by the bayonet mechanisms to constitute the water purifier 10.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a fluid separator with ease of defoaming and satisfactory adhesive strength by treating the inner surface of a semipermeable membrane housing vessel with plasma. CONSTITUTION:A liquid separator is constituted by housing a bundle of hollow fibers 3 in housing vessels 1 equipped with fluid inlets 5 and 6 and a housing vessel 2 provided with outlets 7 and 8. The material of the vessels 1 and 2 is selected from polystyrene, polyethylene, etc. in consideration of pressure, toxicity, etc. The defoaming property and adhesive strength are improved by treating the vessels 1 and 2 with plasma. The plasma treatment, in this case, is carried out by applying low-temp. plasma, wherein the electrons are properly excited like an ionized gas formed by supplying an electric field under low atmospheric pressure, to the material. And the surface is treated without changing the property of the bulk of the material. The high-frequency power is selected from 1- 5W, and the treating time is preferably regulated from several seconds to several minutes.

By rotating the filter cartridge in the direction crossing with its longitudinal direction, it in the naked state can be attached to or detached from the water delivery port.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make efficient the installation space and to change the ratio of a filter medium by connecting cartridges packed with the filter medium in parallel by connectors, simultaneously installing a pass closing part and connecting a cartridge packed with a different filter medium in a connector pass in series. And fluid to be filtered is caused to flow in from a cap with an inflow port 26 to feed it to a pass 23 of the upper connector 20. At this time, since the pass 23 is closed by a pass closing plate 28, the fluid to be filtered is passed only through the active carbon cartridges 11 to flow in a pass 33 of the lower connector 30. And the primary fluid filtrate filtered by the active carbon is passed through a hollow yarn cartridge 12 and flows in the pass 23 of the upper connector 20 on the outflow port side of the pass closing plate 28. Then, the secondary fluid filtrate filtered by the hollow yarn flows out as it is from a cap with an outflow port 27.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable each attachment/detachment and connection without water leakage between a filter medium cartridge and a main water purifier system by connecting the main water purifier system to a filter medium storage cylinder part so that the untreated water delivery port of the main water purifier system communicates with the untreated water intake port of the filter medium storage cylinder part. CONSTITUTION:A main water purifier system 11 is equipped with an untreated water inlet 15 for receiving the untreated water from a tap water faucet 13 on the top, and an untreated water delivery for supplying the received untreated water to a filter medium storage cylinder part 12 and a changeover valve 19 for changing an untreated water flow path either to the direction of the untreated water inlet 15 or to an untreated water supply port 17 on the lateral side. In addition, the untreated water delivery port 16 of the main water purifier system 11 is integrally connected to the untreated water intake port 24 of the filter medium storage cylinder part 12 through a ring-shape rubber packing 39 so that these two ports communicate with each other, to constitute a water purifier 10. Thus a filter medium cartridge 26 is easily attached to an detached from the main water purifier system 11 for connection without water leakage between these components.
