    Abstract: PURPOSE:To certainly prevent the generation of red water containing ferric oxide by separating and removing impurities whose particle size exceeds a specific value contained in water by using a precise filter membrane and subsequently separating and removing oxygen and air contained in water by using a degassing membrane. CONSTITUTION:The raw water in a water tank 2 is sent to a precise filter device 7 using a porous membrane as a filter material by a water supply pump 6 and, after impurites whose particle size exceeds 0.01-10mum contained in the raw water are separated and removed in this device, the filtered raw water is sent to a degassing device 8 using, for example, hollow yarns of a gas separation membrane and air or oxygen dissolved in the filtered water is removed under reduced pressure due to a vacuum pump 9 in the degassing device 8. Oxygen is usually dissolved in tap water in an amt. of about 8ppm and an iron pipe is corroded by this oxygen to generate red water. Therefore, degassed water with dissolved oxygen content of 0.5ppm or less is obtained in the degassing device 8 and red rust is reduced to be changed to black rust by the degassed water to prevent the advance of the corrosion of the iron pipe.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a fluid separator with ease of defoaming and satisfactory adhesive strength by treating the inner surface of a semipermeable membrane housing vessel with plasma. CONSTITUTION:A liquid separator is constituted by housing a bundle of hollow fibers 3 in housing vessels 1 equipped with fluid inlets 5 and 6 and a housing vessel 2 provided with outlets 7 and 8. The material of the vessels 1 and 2 is selected from polystyrene, polyethylene, etc. in consideration of pressure, toxicity, etc. The defoaming property and adhesive strength are improved by treating the vessels 1 and 2 with plasma. The plasma treatment, in this case, is carried out by applying low-temp. plasma, wherein the electrons are properly excited like an ionized gas formed by supplying an electric field under low atmospheric pressure, to the material. And the surface is treated without changing the property of the bulk of the material. The high-frequency power is selected from 1- 5W, and the treating time is preferably regulated from several seconds to several minutes.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify a pool water without a high-level purifying means and a new burden of a water charge by providing the water purifying means purifying a part of a pumped up pool water and returning to a pool, a chore water supply means supplying a residual pool water as the chore water and a new water supply means supplying the new water to the pool. SOLUTION: The water overflowed from the pool 1 by movement, etc., of people is received with an overflow ditch 2 and made to flow to a raw water tank 5, and also a part of the water pumped up from a bottom part of the pool 1 in accordance with a water level of a chore water supply tank 13 is sent to the raw water tank 5. At the raw water tank 5, a pump 6 and an urgent shielding valve 19 are controlled so that the water level may be kept within a fixed range based on an output of the water level detecting implement 21. The pool water is sterilized so that its chlorine concn. may be kept in a specified concn. at a chlorine supply device 29, and the sterilized water is filtered with a rotating drum type filter and returned to the pool. The water level of the pool lowered by supplying the purified water and the chore water is controlled by supplying the new water by a new water supply means 32.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the speed of fluid sepration by eliminating short-circuiting of the fluid to be treated at a header section in a hollow fiber type fluid separator. CONSTITUTION:Hollow fibers 6 and 6' divided into two groups are incorporated into an equipment 11 and both ends thereof 6 and 6' are supported with common tube plates 7 and 7'. The hollow fibers 6 and 6' are surrounded by headers 2 and 2' with inlet and outlet nozzles 1 and 1' on the side of the tube plate 7 and by a head 4 for changing the direction of a fluid to be treated on the side of the tube plate 7'. A supporting member 9 is buried into a split part of the tube plate 7 on the side of the headers 2 and 2' and both ends thereof are supported by a case 8. This fluid separator eliminates polarization of the concentration in the header 4 to ensure a uniform mixing and prevents the short-circuiting of the fluid being treated with an aid of the supporting member 9 on the side of the headers 2 and 2' thereby stabilizing and improving the separation speed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To significantly improve the formability and the productivity of a tube plate part, in a centrifugal molding method of the hollow fiber type fluid separating apparatus, by using an org. polymer composition with specific properties as a curable substance. CONSTITUTION:Both opening end parts of plural hollow fiber bundles are perfectly sealed by using an org. polymer composition capable of being convered to a three-dimensional structure with a water adding volume ratio of 5% or less and the resulting sealed hollow fiber bundles are molded by using a curable casting material according to a centrifugal molding method to form a tube plate part. The above described water adding volume ratio means the amount of gas bubbles generated by reacting a curable substance with water remained in a cured substance untile said curable substance can be cured and, as the curable substance comprising an org. compound capable of taking the three-dimensional structure, a silicone resin and an epoxy resin are used. By this method, there are no invasion of a curing agent into the hollow part of a hollow fiber and no generation of gas bubbles and the yield ratio of the separating apparatus is enhanced.
