Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing synthetic resin chips carrying out smooth transfer of chip slurry with air entrapped even in the case where a pelletizer and dehydrator are installed at the same floor. CONSTITUTION: While cooling a linear or sheet-like synthetic polymer ejected from a polymer ization can 1 with cooling water, it is cut into slender chips, and then chip slurry consisting of chips and water is conveyed to a dehydrator 4 by a sentrifugal pump 3 for separating water from the chip slurry by the dehydrator 4 and taking out chips. The rotation blades of the centrifugal pump 3 are shaped into a screw, or the side plate of the rotation blade is made into an open structure only in its one side.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To accomplish easy automatic checking of the remaining amount or the existence of substance in the auxiliary vessel for adding thereof to the vessels as required once stored in addition of the substance to the vessels such as reaction device and tank. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus is provided with an auxiliary vessel 2 having an opening/closing lid 7 for feeding substance to a vessel on the side thereof and being connected to the vessel 1. The auxiliary vessel is adapted to store substance to be added to the vessel. In addition, it is equipped with a vertically movable substance detecting stick 11 which is charged downward by a spring inserted into the vessel and a stick position checking device which senses the vertical movement position of the stick inside. With such an arrangement, when matters (e.g. capsules 6) are added to the vessel 1, the matter detecting stick moves downward. Accordingly, the absence of matters in the vessel can be discriminated easily.
