Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a production process for a cellulosic fiber structure with high moisture absorption in which its treatment liquid shows excellent stability and the reaction efficiency of its monomer is excellent. SOLUTION: In this production process for a fiber structure, a cellulosic fiber structure is impregnated with an aqueous solution containing a hydrophilic vinyl monomer, a polymerization initiator and a polymerization inhibitor in an amount of 0.01-2 wt.% based on the hydrophilic vinyl monomer, treated with heat and then washed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cellulose-based processed fiber products having sufficiently morphological stability, shrink resistance, tear strength, hygroscopicity, feeling, etc., by means of chemicals not containing formaldehyde. SOLUTION: This method for producing cellulose-based processed fiber products features imparting a processing liquid comprising a monomer having at least COOX [X is hydrogen atom, or an atom or atomic group capable of becoming n(-COO-)Xn+; n is a positive number] and at least one unsaturated bond, a polymerization initiator and an ester-forming catalyst to cellulose-based fiber-containing fibers or fabrics and then heat-treating the fibers or fabrics. The method may feature imparting a processing liquid comprising a monomer having at least COOX [X is hydrogen atom, or an atom or atomic group capable of becoming n(-COO-)Xn+; n is a positive number] and at least one unsaturated bond and a polymerization initiator to cellulose-based fiber-containing fibers or fabrics, then heat-treating the fibers or fabrics, and immediately (or after an optional treatment) imparting a processing liquid comprising at least an ester-forming catalyst and heat-treating the resultant product.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cellulosic fiber processed article provided with shape stability without damaging hydroscopicity by polymerizing a monomer containing a hydrophilic group and an unsaturated bond with a monomer containing a functional group to be reacted with a hydroxyl group of cellulose to form a covalent bond and an unsaturated bond and sticking the polymer to a cellulosic fiber (structure). SOLUTION: A cellulosic fiber (structure) is provided with a treating solution comprising at least a monomer containing a hydrophilic group of SO3X [X is H or an atom (atomic group) to become an n(-SO3-)Xn+; and (n) is a positive number] and an unsaturated bond such as 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid (salt) and a monomer containing a functional group to be reacted with a hydroxyl group of cellulose such as N-methylol group or -COOY [Y is H or an atom (atomic group) to become an m(-COO)Ym+; and (m) is a positive number], etc. to form a covalent bond and an unsaturated bond such as N- methylolacrylamide or (meth)acrylic acid (salt), a polymerization initiator and a catalyst and then heat-treated.

Abstract: Woven or knitted goods of cellulosic fibers grafted with hydrophilic vinyl monomers, having excellent hygroscopicity and being well wearable; woven or knitted goods of cellulosic fibers grafted with hydrophilic vinyl monomers, having a shrinking percentage of 2 % or less after washing, and being excellent in configurational stability; and shrinkproof woven or knitted goods of a combination of polyester fibers with cellulosic fibers. The grafting process comprises impregnating woven or knitted goods with an aqueous solution containing a hydrophilic vinyl monomer and a polymerization initiator, followed by heat treatment and washing. The configurational stability is imparted to the goods by cross-linking cellulosic fibers before, during or after the grafting.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber structure consisting of a cellulose fiber on which a polymerization process with a hydrophilic vinyl-based monomer is performed, and capable of providing a dress shift, an underwear or a sport wear rich in comfortable wear feeling. SOLUTION: This fiber structure is obtained by impregnating an aqueous solution of pH 6-12 containing 10-30wt.% concentration of a hydrophilic vinyl- based monomer such as 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulfuric acid (salt) and 1-5wt.% polymerization initiator such as ammonium persulfate based on the monomer to a cellulose fiber structure such as a plain cotton woven fabric, heat-treating at 80-200 deg.C, then removing the un-reacted monomer by washing to perform a polymerization treatment at 1-20wt.% monomer reaction ratio. The obtained fabric has a moisture absorbing property in which ΔMR of the difference of a moisture absorption MR2 (%) at temperature of 30 deg.C and at relative humidity of 90%, and the moisture absorption MR1 (%) at 20 deg.C and at relative humidity of 65% satisfies the relationship of 4
