Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproducibly synthesize a MFI-type thin zeolite film with a size of a μm order. SOLUTION: A reaction solution with the following composition. SiO 2 : an organic amine : tetrapropyl ammonium bromide : H 2 O=1:x:y:z (wherein the compositional ratio is molar ratio; x=0.25-5; y=0.4-8; and z=100-300) is heated in a closed vessel at a temperature of ≥100°C and maintained for ≥1 hour. The MFI-type zeolite obtained by this method is applied on a substrate to be oriented, which is useful as the substrate in manufacturing a zeolite film. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
