Abstract: PURPOSE:To make acrylic ester copolymer incombustible with addition of a specified phosphoric ester halide thereto. CONSTITUTION:A compound as shown by the formula II or III (where, X represents bromine or the atom of chlorine) is added to a polymer or a copolymer of acrylic ester as shown by the formula I (where, R represents CnH2n+1 with n ranging 1 to 4) at a rate of about 5 to 50% by weight to produce an incombustible composition. Combined use of tricresyl phosphate can better water dispersibility of phosphoric ester halide in the formula II or II without deterioration in the incombustibility, thereby facilitating the mixing thereof into a dispersed matter of the acrylic ester copolymer. The incombustible composition as mentioned above is integrated with a fiber or a film to produce an incombustible molding.
