    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fiber with good wear resistance while preventing white powder development or scum staining during the higher-order process therefor, capable of giving fabrics of good touch feeling. CONSTITUTION:This polyester fiber good in wear resistance contains 0.02-2.0-wt.% of silicon oxide particles coated with 0.1-10wt.% of a straight chain silicone oil, virtually synthesized by dry process, and having 5-45mum in average primary particle diameter. Besides, this fiber has the following physical properties: tan delta peak temperature (Tmax): =1.370g/cm ; and birefringence: >=0.085. The original polymer, because of being highly stable in particle dispersibility, causes only a small rise in the pressure inside the pack, and leads to stable operation such as low yarn breakages during spinning process.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title yarn having excellent strength and elongation characteristics by ultrahigh-speed spinning method without problems of end breakage, etc., by spinning a polyester prepared by copolymerizing polyethylene terephthalate with a specific aromatic diol component under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A polyester comprising ethylene terephthalate as a main repeating unit, copolymerized with 0.1-20mol% based on whole dicarboxylic acid of an aromatic diol component shown by formula I (R and R are 2-5C alkylene; m and n are natural number) is spun at a take-up speed satisfying formula II [V is take-up speed (m/minute); d is fineness (denier) of single yarn of wound yarn]. The polyester yarn is preferably obtained by adding the aromatic diol component shown by formula I to the reaction system and copolymerizing at any stage before completion of polycondensation reaction in an ordinary production process of polyethylene terephthalate.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a resin compsn. excellent in the color tone, dyeability and conductivity by compounding a resin with a fine particle of an org. polymer covered with a conductive film comprising an inorg. oxide or halide conductor. CONSTITUTION:A resin is compounded with fine particles of an org. polymer (e.g. polystyrene, polymethyl metharylate, or styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer) having a mean particle diameter of 0.01-10mum and covered with an inorg. oxide or halide conductor (e.g. tin oxide, zinc oxide, copper iodide, or niobium chloride) to give a conductive resin compsn. having a specific resistance of 10 OMEGA.cm or lower. The resulting compsn. gives a conductive molded article excellent in the transparency, color development and fashionability.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester monofilament having wear resistance of high performance, its production and various fabric for industrial uses such as fabrics for paper making, belts, filters, etc. SOLUTION: This polyester monofilament comprises a polyester containing 0.5-30 wt.% of a thermoplastic elastomer. In the monofilament, plural insular dispersing elements comprising a thermoplastic elastomer lie in a vertical cross section and the average diameter, when the sectional patterns of the insular dispersing elements are approximated to be a circle, is in the range of 0.1-5 μm. Its production is to add thermoplastic elastomer pellets, added with 0.1-8 wt.% of at least one powder selected from powdery metal salts of fatty acids, fatty acid amides, polyolefins, silica, calcium carbonate and fluorine resins, to the polyester, melt and knead and successively melt spinning the elastomer- containing polyester.
