    Abstract: A SOFT STRETCH YARN SUBSTANTIALLY COMPRISING POLYESTER FIBRES HAS A STRESS, AT 50% YARN STRETCH,OF NO MORE THAN 30 X 10¯³ CN/DTEX AND, AT THE SAME TIME, A PERCENTAGE RECOVERY OF AT LEAST 60% PREFERABLY, THE USTER UNEVENNESS IS NO MORE THAN 2.0% AND THE CRIMP DIAMETER IS NO MORE THAN 250 µM. THIS SOFT STRETCH YARN CAN BE PRODUCED BY SPINNING YARN OF CONJUGATE FIBRES COMPRISING TWO TYPES OF POLYESTER IN WHICH ONE COMPONENT IS PTT AT A TAKE-UP VELOCITY OF AT LEAST 1200 M/MIN, DRAWING AT A DRAWING TEMPERATURE OF 50 TO 80ºC AT A DRAW RATIO SUCH THAT THE DRAWN YARN TENSILE ELONGATION IS 20 TO 45%, AND THEN HEAT SETTING.(FIG 1)

    Abstract: A soft stretch yarn substantially comprising polyester fibres has a stress, at 50% yarn stretch, of no more than 30x10 cN/dtex and, at the same time, a percentage recovery of at least 60%. Preferably, the Uster unevenness is no more than 2.0% and the crimp diameter is no more than 250 mu m. This soft stretch yarn can be produced by spinning yarn of conjugate fibres comprising two types of polyester in which one component is PTT at a take-up velocity of at least 1200 m/min, drawing at a drawing temperature of 50 to 80 DEG C at a draw ratio such that the drawn yarn tensile elongation is 20 to 45%, and then heat setting.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to fibers having excellent responsiveness to magnetic fields and excellent conductivity, as well as articles made of the same. In particular, the present invention relates to fibers having magnetic properties and conductivity, which are excellent in resistance to heat and responsiveness to magnetic fields in a unit where a magnetic field is applied, as well as in stability of conductivity when the humidity varies. In addition, the present invention relates to textiles using such fibers, knitted articles and cloths, such as non-woven cloths, short fibers, brush rollers made of short fibers, and electro-photographic apparatuses using brush rollers. The fibers of the present invention are fibers having excellent responsiveness to magnetic field and conductivity, made of a polymer having fiber forming functions which contains magnetic material particles in spherical form having a saturation magnetic flux density of no less than 0.5 tesla. According to the preferred aspects of the present invention, (a) the average particle diameter of the above described magnetic material particles in spherical form is no greater than 5 µm, (b) the coercive force of the above described magnetic material particles in spherical form is no greater than 1000 A/m, and (c) the above described fibers are complex fibers which are made of magnetic layers that contain 20 wt% to 90 wt% of the above described magnetic material particles in spherical form, and protective layers where the content of the above described magnetic material particles in spherical form is less than 20 wt%.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to polyester yarn which is characterized in that it is a multifilament yarn substantially comprising polytrimethylene terephthalate, and as well as the strength from the stress-strain curve being at least 3 cN/dtex and the Young's modulus being no more than 25 cN/dtex, the minimum value of the differential Young's modulus at 3-10% extension is no more than 10 cN/dtex and the elastic recovery following 10% elongation is at least 90%. Furthermore, said polyester yarn can be obtained by a method of producing polyester yarn which is characterized in that multifilament yarn obtained by the melt spinning of polymer substantially comprising polytrimethylene terephthalate of intrinsic viscosity Ä eta Ü at least 0.7 is hauled-off at a spinning rate of at least 2000 m/min and, without winding up, subjected to drawing and heat-treatment, after which it is continuously subjected to a relaxation heat treatment at a relaxation factor of 6 to 20% and wound up as a package. Moreover, the present invention also relates to a woven material of outstanding soft-stretchability which is characterized in that the aforesaid polyester yarn is used as the warp yarn and/or the weft yarn in the form of twisted yarn of twist coefficient 10,000 to 20,000. In this way, it is possible to produce yarn stably at a high yarn production rate without package tightening occurring, and, as well as there being little variation in properties in the fibre lengthwise direction, when made into fabric, said fabric stretches at low modulus so there is little sense of tightness, and it is possible to provide polyester yarn and woven materials with a soft handle.
