    Abstract: A polyurethane polyamide self-crimping conjugate fiber having eccentric conjugate form, comprises a high hardness polyurethane (1) having a Shore hardness D of 58 to 75 and a polyamide (2) having a melting point of at least 200 C, which has a excellent extension stress properties and excellent heat resistance.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title fiber having high recovery stress characteristics after forming crimp and improved heat resistance and prevented in deterioration of product characteristics in heat treatment and suitable as a raw material for stocking by eccentrically compositing a polyurethane having >=58 shore hardness D and polyamide. CONSTITUTION:The aimed fiber obtained by eccentrically compositing a polyurethane having >=58 shore hardness D and polyamide having >=-200 deg.C melting point. Furthermore, ratio of hard segment of polyurethane to soft segment thereof is kept to 17:83-25:75 based on polymerization ratio so as to enhance shore hardness of the polyurethane. As the polyurethane, a polycarbonate based polyurethane or polyurethane containing the polycarbonate based polyurethane as a copolymer component or mixture component in an amount of >=10wt.% is preferably used.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the moldability of polyamide pellets, by applying a small quantity of an alkylene oxide addition product of a compound, which has a functional group capable of undergoing addition reaction with an alkylene oxide, onto the surfaces of the polyamide pellets. CONSTITUTION:An aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or alkyl group containing aromatic compound (for example, butyl alchol, cyclohexyl alchol and nonyl phenol) with four or more carbon atoms and having a functional group (for example, an amino group, carboxyl group, hydroxyl group, amide group, etc.) capable of undergoing addition reaction with an alkylene oxide is subjected to addition reaction with an alkylene oxide (for example, ethylene oxide or propylene oxide) to prepare an alkylene oxide addition product or its deriavative. The resulting addition product is applied in an amount of 5-100ppm onto the surfaces of polyamide pellets (for example of nylon 6, nylon 12 or the like) to obtain the captioned polyamide pellets.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A granular filter medium, obtained by forming a cured fixed film of a modified silicone on the surface of alumina grains, effective for remarkable reduction of broken yarns just after starting spinning and prevention of deterioration in yarn quality, and useful for melt spinning of thermoplastic synthetic fibers. CONSTITUTION:An alumina based granular filter medium obtained by dipping alumina based grains, preferably having 10-350 mesh grain size in a solution of a modified silicone, e.g. methylhydrogensilicone, in a solvent to apply preferably 0.05-0.5wt% modified silicone thereto, heating the alumina based grains under reduced pressure to remove the solvent, and curing the modified silicone under heat-treating at 100-300 deg.C to form a fixed film thereon.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain antistatic combined filament yarns having improved mechanical properties and high-degree of processability, by melting separately an electrically conductive polymer and an electrically nonconductive polymer, feeding the molten polymers separately to the interior and exterior of a spinneret, extruding conjugate fibers of both through inner extrusion holes of the spinneret, extruding the latter through the outer extrusion holes, combining both, and drawing the resultant filament yarn. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive polymer containing 15-50wt% electrically conductive carbon black is melted and fed to the interior of a spinning pack 3, and an electrically nonconductive polymer having fiber-forming properties is melted and fed to the exterior of the spinning pack 3. Both polymer streams are combined in the interior of spinnerets 4-6 under the spinning pack 3, and electrically conductive conjugate filament yarn of sheath-core type is extruded through the inner extrusion holes 62' of a spinneret 6. An electrically nonconductive filament yarn is extruded through the outer extrusion holes 62 of the spinneret 6, and both filament yarns are combined and then drawn.
