Abstract: PURPOSE:A flame-retardant composition, obtained by blending a polyester elastomer with a halogenated bisphenol type copolymerized polycarbonate oligomer and antimony trioxide as a flame retardant and having improved weather resistance and mechanical properties. CONSTITUTION:A flame-retardant polyester elstomer composition obtained by blending (A) 100pts.wt. polyester consisting of terephthalic acid, 1,4-butanediol and 15-75wt% poly(alkylene oxide) glycol having 500-3,000 number-average molecular weight with (B) 5-60pts.wt. preferably 8-60pts.wt. halogenated bisphenol type copolymerized polycarbonate oligomer expressed by formula I (X is bromine or chlorine; R is alkylene, carbonyl, etc.; p is an integer 1-5; m and n are integers satisfying formulas II and III; Mm is the weight of the repeating units expressed by formula IV; Mn is the weight of repeating units expressed by formula V) and (C) 1-40pts.wt., preferably 3-35pts.wt. antimony trioxide.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. having a short molding cycle and excellent moldability and flexural fatigue resistance, by blending two polyether ester block copolymers having different soft and hard component contents. CONSTITUTION:Each of a lower alcohol diester of terephthalic acid, an excess of 1,4-butanediol and poly(alkylene oxide) glycol is used in two or more different amounts, and subjected to an ester exchange reaction in the presence of a catalyst. The reaction products are subjected to polycondensation. The resulting polyether ester block copolymer (A) composed of X wt% poly(alkylene oxide) glycol(a) as a soft component and (100-X)wt% polybutylene terephthalate(b) as a hard component is melt-mixed with the resulting polyether ester block copolymer (B) composed of Y wt% component (a) as a soft component and (100-Y)wt% component(b) as a hard component in such a proportion as to satisfy the relationship of the formulas.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composition with outstanding moldability, surface gloss and mechanical properties, by incorporating metallic soap and/or silicone oil in block polyetherester copolymer derived from solid phase polymerization. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. of a copolymer with a relative viscosity 0.8-4.5 prepared, in an inert gas or vacuum, by solid phase polymerization using, e.g. a rotary reactor, at 140-220 deg.C (pref. at a temperature lower than the melting temperature by 10-50 deg.C), of a block polyetherester copolymer derived from melt polycondensation between aromatic dicarboxylic acid (or its ester derivative), low-molecular weight glycol and poly(alkylene oxide) glycol with (B) 0.001-2 (pref. 0.005-1)pts.wt. of metallic soap (pref. stearic acid Ba salt or Al-salt) and/or (C) 0.001-2 (pref. 0.005-1)pts.wt. of silicone oil (pref. dimethyl polysiloxane).
