    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester resin composition capable of giving molded products having heavyweight feeling, texture and gloss each inherent in pottery and having a combination of impact resistance and chemical resistance as well. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 31-50 wt.% of a polybutylene terephthalate resin, 10-50 wt.% of a polyethylene terephthalate resin, 0-20 wt.% of a copolyester comprising at least two kinds of one or both of diol component and dicarboxylic acid component, and 10-46 wt.% of barium sulfate.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition for enabling formation of a molding which has earthenware-like massive feeling, texture and gloss, and further, is excellent in chemical resistance, and impact resistance by compounding a polybutylene terephthalate resin, a specific polyester copolymer, and a glass bead. SOLUTION: A polyester resin composition comprises a polybutylene terephthalate resin of 10-50 wt.%, 10-50 wt.% of a polyester copolymer comprising at least two of either one or both of a diol component and a dicarboxylic acid component, and a glass bead of 10-70 wt.%. The polyester copolymer is preferable in that the diol component is selected from an ethylene glycol residual group and a cyclohexane dimenthanol residual group, and that the dicarboxylic acid component is selected from a terephthalic acid residual group and an isophthalic acid residual group. Further, in the case of selecting two of the ethylene glycol residual group and the cyclohexane dimenthanol residual group as the diol component, a molar ratio of the former to the latter is preferably 50-5 mole %/50-95 mole %.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a thermoplastic resin compsn. excellent in weatherability, impact strength, heat resistance, and stiffness by mixing specific weathering stabilizers into a resin compsn. comprising a specific vinyl copolymer, a specific modified polyolefin, and a polyamide. CONSTITUTION:Specified amts. of a benzotriazole weathering stabilizer and a hindered amine weathering stabilizer are mixed into a resin compsn. which comprises 5-80wt.% vinyl copolymer obtd. by copolymerizing 5-85wt.% at least either an arom. vinyl monomer or a (meth)acrylic ester (A), 15-95wt.% maleimide monomer (B) of the formula [wherein R1, R2, and R3 are each H, halogen, or a 1-20C (substd.) hydrocarbon group], and 0.05-20wt.% substd. olefin compd. copolymerizable with monomer A and/or monomer B and having a carboxyl (or acid anhydride) group in the molecule, 5-90wt.% polyamide, and 5-40wt.% modified polyolefin having at least one group selected from the group consisting of carboxylic, metal carboxylate, and acid anhydride groups.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a car wheel cover superior in coating adhesion by injection molding a composition composed of a specific vinyl copolymer containing a maleimide monomer as a copolymerizing compound, a polyamide added with a barium stearate, and a modified polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:A polyamide composition (A) is prepared by adding 0.02-1.0 pts.wt. barium stearate per 100 pts.wt. of polyamide. A vinyl copolymer (B) is prepared by copolymerizing 40-75wt.% at least one of aromatic vinyl monomer or (meth)acrylic monomer, 25-60wt.% maleimide monomer shown by a formula (In the formula, R1-R3 represent hydrogen, halogen, or C1-20 hydrocarbon.), and 0.5-10wt.% another vinyl copolymer that can copolymerize with at least the aforesaid monomer. A modified polyolefin (C) has carboxylic acid group, carboxylic acid metallic salt group, or anhydride group. A composition containing A by 10-80wt.% and B, C each by 10-50wt.% is injection molded.
