Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selecting a design and fabric corresponding to the taste of a customer, and for confirming a finish image based on this, and for manufacturing clothing by correcting a dress pattern based on the physique of the customer, and for quickly selling clothing with which the customer is satisfied. SOLUTION: A design and fabric corresponding to the taste of a customer is selected and decided by a selecting device connected with a data base, and color pattern setting is operated to the selected design by using three- dimensional design parts, and a finish image is displayed by computer graphics. Then, a basic dress pattern for the decided design is corrected according to the physique of the customer, and the fabric for one suit is cut out and sewed based on the dress pattern so that clothing with which the customer is satisfied can be manufactured.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable quantitative and objective measurement by inputting a spectrum in a plurality of bands of a physical amount of a material, calculating and outputting a characteristics amount of the material. SOLUTION: A video input part 1 measures an optical spectrum of a material, and a sound input part 2 measures an acoustic spectrum of the material. A characteristic amount calculation part 3 calculates a characteristic amount from spectrum information outputted from the video input part 1 and sound input part 2, and a characteristic amount output part 4 outputs the characteristic amount. The video input part 1 and sound input part 2 input optical and acoustic spectra of two or more bands of the material respectively. The characteristic amount calculation part 3 can be constituted, e.g. with the utilization of a neural network and is used after a combination of various spectra obtained by experiments or the like in advance and the characteristic amount to be outputted is learned thereby. The characteristic amount output part 4 can be constituted, e.g. with the utilization of a computer display. A delicate texture difference hard for people to discern can be correctly represented and specifications for planning and developing a new material can be correctly determined.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing and selling a garment, enabling to quickly produce and sell the garment satisfied by a customer, by selecting the favorite design and cloth of the customer, confirming a finished image from the selected design and cloth, correcting a paper pattern on the basis of the body shape of the customer, producing the garment and subsequently selling the produced garment. SOLUTION: This method for producing a garment satisfied by a customer comprises selecting and determining the favorite design and cloth of the customer with a selecting device connected to a data base, setting a colored pattern on the selected design image by the use of cloth images, displaying a finished image by a computer graphic method, correcting a basic paper pattern for the determined design in response to the body shape of the customer, cutting a cloth for the garment on the basis of the corrected results, and subsequently sewing the cut cloths.
