Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cut face which is smooth and to which chips are scarcely adhere and prevent an object fluid to be treated from being mixed with chips by carrying out cutting while applying vibration to a cutter blade at the time when a bundle of hollow yarns are cut in an a stuck and fixed part by the cutter blade to obtain open ends of hollow yarns in the cut surfaces. SOLUTION: At the time when a bundle of hollow yarns are cut in an stuck and fixed part where the hollow yarns are stuck and fixed by a potting resin by a cutter blade 8 to obtain open ends of the hollow yarns in the cut faces, the stuck and fixed part 9 is cut while vibration being applied to the cutter blade 8. A horn to amplify the amplitude is attached to the tip of an ultrasonic vibrator 7. Though the shape of the horn 6 is not specifically limited, the horn 6 should be designed as to obtain resonance with resonance frequency in integer times as long as the 1/2 wavelength. Fixing by screws or fixing by an adhesive and welding can be employed for joining the cutter blade 8 and the horn 6. In the case of straight blade, just like a guillotine, the cutter blade 8 may be pushed down to the stuck and fixed part 9 or pulled in the direction shown as an arrow in order to cut the stuck and fixed part 9.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pack liquid-processing modules easily without damaging them and improve the jobs of packing and taking out the modules. SOLUTION: A formed body made of mold pulp and having a plurality of recesses 3c and 3d for receiving module ends are disposed at both ends of a plurality of modules, and also the formed body made of the mold pulp and the modules whose ends are received by the formed body are stored in a box body. In the formed body, its lowermost face is a continuous flat face and its uppermost face is a discontinuous flat face in the same plane, and a distance from the bottom to uppermost face of each of the recesses 3c and 3d is set greater than the diameter of each module. Further, the formed body is formed so that the projecting ends of the modules received by the recesses 3c and 3d do not stick out of the end face of the formed body.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the residual amt. of air bubbles and impurities in a hollow yarn type blood treatment apparatus to improve work efficiency by respectively setting the concn. of a good solvent of a hollow yarn material remaining in a packing soln. and the voids present in the hollow yarn type blood treatment apparatus to specific values or less. SOLUTION: When a hollow yarn separation membrane is formed, a hollow yarn material is generally dissolved in a good solvent to be spun. As the good solvent, many kinds of solventrs such as dimentylacetamide, dimethylsulfoxide or dimethylformamide can be used. In a process for producing a hollow yarn type blood treatment apparatus, it is necessary to remove the good solvent of the hollow yarn material as impurities by washing. As one index of washing effect, the concn. of the residual solvent in the hollow yarn type blood treatment apparatus can be measured and this concn. is set to 2ppm or less, pref., about 0.5ppm or less. Voids being the index showing the residual amt. of air bubbles of the hollow yarn type blood treatment apparatus are pref. suppressed to 3% or less, more pref., about 1% or less.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve air-tight seal, by cutting the cured layer at the end part of a hollow yarn so as to open the hollow part at the end part thereof and further injecting a sealing curing agent into a case while distributing the same to both end parts of the case before solidifying the same. CONSTITUTION:A case main body 1 is packed with a hollow yarn bundled body 2 so as to respectively protrude both ends thereof from the case. In the next step, a potting process for forming cured layers to both ends of the case is performed but, as a concrete means, a method, wherein a curing agent is injected into the case and moved to both end parts of the case by imparting centrifugal force to the case to be cured at said parts, is desirable. Both ends of the case 1 are covered with sealing caps 7, 7' and the dialysate injection ports 4, 4' of the case 1 are utilized as curing agent injection ports while centrifugal force is imparted to the case 1 while the sealing curing agent is injected and moved to both ends of the case.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of the titled apparatus caused by the adhesion of a sealing curing agent to the vicinity of a injection port, by injecting the sealing curing agent into a case main body packed with a hollow yarn bundled body to cure the same. CONSTITUTION:A case main body 1 is packed with a hollow yarn bundle 2 and both ends thereof are covered with sealing caps 7, 7'. Adaptors 8, 8' are preliminarily mounted to curing agent injection ports 4, 4' and a nozzles 9 are inserted into the injection ports 4, 4' through said adaptors and, after the injected curing agent is sufficiently cured, the adaptors 8, 8' are detached. Therefore, the adhesion of the curing agent to the vicinity of the injection ports is eliminated and a high quality and high grade product can be produced continuously.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To load a hollow yarn in a case in a sterilized state without damaging the hollow yarn by turning an inserting port of a cylindrical case upward, supplying a bundle of hollow yarns, and oscillating the case while reducing the pressure in the case. CONSTITUTION:A case K is held in a main body 1 by a case holding part 2 so that the case may not be turned. A separated liquid pipe P is closed with a blind plug 7, and a separated liquid pipe P' on the other side is connected to a sucking part 5. A guiding part 4 for a bundle of hollow yarns is lowered and connected to the case K, and the bundle Y of hollow yarns is supplied. The air in the case K is sucked by the sucking part 5 to reduce the pressure, and the body is oscillated by an oscillating part 6 to insert the bundle of hollow yarns into the case without damaging the bundle. The suction is stopped immediately before the bundle Y of hollow yarns reaches the lower end part, and the oscillation is completely stopped after the bundle is completely inserted. Then the case K is removed from the case holding part.
