Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a lift length changing apparatus capable of accurately and easily changing the lift length according to the rotational speed of a spindle. CONSTITUTION:In the case of setting a short lift length for a medium count yarn or a small count yarn relative to a long standard lift length for a large count yarn, the difference between the lift lengths is stored in a controller 50A as a correction length. A shaper-feeding motor 43 is energized after coupling a clutch 42 to rotate a lifting drum 19 and lift a ring rail 10 by a distance corresponding to the correction length. In the course of swinging the ring rail 10 with a swing motor 35, a main motor 2 is started to start the spinning operation. The lift length can accurately be shortened by this process to enable the ultrahigh speed spinning of a medium count yarn and a small count yarn.
