    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding method for obtaining excellent false twisted yarn without cob-webbing and a dyeing speck generated at the time of winding false twisted yarn. SOLUTION: In an end face collapsing method for intermittently reducing a traverse width when false twisted yarn is wound on a package, a rate of change is increased before a shortest width and is reduced up to a position of the shortest width when the traverse width is changed from a longest width to the shortest width in one cycle changing the traverse width. When the traverse width is changed to a position of a longest part from a shortest part, winding is performed by increasing the rate of change before the longest width and reducing the rate up to a position of the longest width.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stretch false twisting capable of stably producing a yarn while accelerating its speed from a low speed to a production speed without such situation that the rotary torque of a rotating member such as a friction disc gives way to the torque of the yarn. SOLUTION: This method for stretch false twisting is characterized by optionally changing the rotation speed ratio (drawing ratio) of the feed roller at the upper part of a primary heater to the feed roller at the downstream side of the false twisting device, while accelerating or decelerating the machine speed in the stretch false twisting machine of a simultaneous starting and stopping type.
