Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode ray tube device with an electron gun structural body capable of increasing a quality by orderly arranging characteristics at all cathodes. SOLUTION: An electron beam generating part for generating three-electron beam formed of a center beam and a pair of side beams on both sides thereof which are disposed on a same horizontal plane comprises cathode structural bodies formed by holding three cathodes K and cathode supports for holding the cathode structural bodies. The cathode supports comprises cylindrical cathode support cylinders 16 and a cathode support straps 17 having a generally semi-cylindrical curved part and supportedly fixed to an insulation support body 10. The material of the cathode support straps forming the cathode supports is different between a center cathode for producing the center beam and the pair of side cathodes for producing the side beam. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube device, having an electron gun improving resolution over the entire screen by improving a beam spot shape without adding stem lead wires. SOLUTION: In this device, an electron beam generating part for generating an electron beam has a cathode and a plurality of electrodes. Two electrodes G2, G3 of these electrodes are connected to each other via a resistor 21. To one electrode G2, a uniform voltage is applied from the outside of the tube. To an electrode G4 adjacent the other electrode G3, a voltage is supplied which varies dynamically in synchronization with a deflecting magnetic field.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satisfactory image characteristic in the entire image area by reducing a lateral collapsing phenomenon of an electron beam caused by a lens magnification difference between the horizontal direction and the vertical direction generated in an image periphery. SOLUTION: An electron gun of this cathode ray tube has a main electron lens part constituted of at least four electrodes arranged with first, second, third and fourth grinds 5, 6, 7, 8 in this order, a first voltage of middle potential is impressed to the first grid 5, and an anode voltage is impressed to the fourth grid 8. The second grid 6 and the third grid 7 neighboring each other are connected with a resistor 100, and the second and third voltages having substantially same potentials, corresponding to a substantially intermediate potential between the first voltage of middle potential and the anode voltage are impressed to them respectively. An asymmetric lens is formed between the second grid 6 and the third grid 7 which neighbor each other, and a voltage varying, which is synchronized with a deflection magnetic field, is impressed to the first grid 5.

The heater H is connected to a closed circuit containing the first power source 23 feeding the prescribed voltage between its terminals, the first electrode G1 is connected to the earth side of the closed circuit, and the second power source 24 feeding the prescribed voltage to the first electrode G1 is connected to the closed circuit while the voltage between the heater terminals is held by the first power source 23.

CONSTITUTION: Electron beams 6 emitted from negative electrodes KB, KG, KR are focused a little by the negative electrodes KB-KR and grids G1 -G3 and are 1 incident on the first electron lens. The electron beams 6 are first irradiated in the perpendicular direction of a quadrupole lens component QL, receive such an action as strongly focusing in the horizontal direction, and the outer beam 6o emits more largely than the inner beam 6i . The beam 6o largely receives spherical aberration in a region of a next cylindrical electron lens component CL so as to be strongly focused by the beam 6i and is incident on the second electron lens L2 formed by grids G5 , G6 at small emission angle. Then, the beam 6 passes toward an isolated axis than the beam 6o , receives spherical aberration, and is focused on a phosphor screen 3. Beam 6o is also focused on the same position as the beam 6i . The electron beams 6 are horizontally focused on the screen 3 by passing an adjacent axis of the cylindrical lens component CL.

CONSTITUTION:A color picture tube device is provided with an electron gun 21 emitting three-electron beam aligned in a line, and a deflection device 8 having first and second deflection coils chiefly forming a pin-cushion form deflection magnetic field for deflecting the three-electron beam and a barrel- shape deflection magnetic field, respectively. A quadrupole magnetic field which is symmetrical to the gun axis, and whose polarity is reverse thereto, is formed between an electron lens part containing the electron lens part of the electron gun and the deflection device. The magnetic charge of each magnetic pole of the quadruple magnetic field are distributed in the range of no less than 30 with each magnetic pole serving as a center, while the center of the magnetic charge region of each magnetic pole is located in the range of no less than + or -45 deg. in relation to the alignment axis of the three-electron beam, or an almost annular magnet member 30 having a region rich in magnetic charge is provided in the range of no less than + or -45 deg..

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a beam spot from being increased in diameter when the current quantity of an electron beam is large by providing an auxiliary deflection device, auxiliarily deflecting the electron beam emitted from an electron gun, and adjusting the auxiliary deflection quantity. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary deflection device 21 is fitted on the outside of the neck 5 of a color picture tube device in response to an electron gun 7 arranged inside. The device 21 is connected to an auxiliary deflection device drive circuit 26 connected to a picture tube drive circuit 24 driving a color picture tube and a deflection yoke drive circuit 25 driving a deflection yoke 8 respectively. When the speed modulation current with the magnitude corresponding to the current quantity of an electron beam nearly proportional to the drive voltage applied to a cathode is fed to the device 21, the beam diameter over the whole fluorescent screen 3 can be shrunk. When it is set to the speed modulation current with the magnitude corresponding to the horizontal deflection quantity of the yoke 8, the beam spot diameter at the periphery section of the screen 3 can be made equal to that at the center section.
